I lived off of their summer rolls and shrimp wanton soup for almost a year. -Zac Young, Top Chef Just Desserts
Vietnamese is 1 cuisine that's really under-represented in NYC. this is 1 of the good ones, tho far from authentic
Fell in love with this girl here two years ago when I just asked her for lunch. Can't imagine life without her. So I guess, I am Saigon Grill for life.
Authentic, fresh and well cooked Vietnamese food – check out the cheap lunch specials, especially the Bun Xao or the Tom Xao Gung.
For a great tasty grub within Union Sq area
get the #36. it's amazing
Great place for a quick tasty lunch!
Soup with coconut milk&shrimps - yum! ☺️
Bun Zao chicken is great - like a less greasy pad Thai
Bun Xao & Beef Sate are delicious! Great for the novice Vietnamese diner ..
Happy Hour is from 4-6pm, don't get a mango martini!
Basil Shrimp. The shrimp were a bit expired if you ask me.
Goodness, that is some awful beef pho.
Get a number 36 and a Vodka Gilmet on the rocks! A match made in heaven!!
Avoid the sliced chicken and broccoli with "tasty sauce." My chicken was undercooked, and the sauce was off. Only the broccoli was good.
Bun Xao chicken or beef! A spring or summer roll appetizer won't kill you either...
curry okra. so delicious.
Excellent way to spend lunch.
Great prices for a good quality Vietnamese food around Union Square.
Love bun xao!
Bun xao/ grilled pork chop with lychee mojito on the side, never upsets.
Canh Chua-hot & sour soup + Ca Chien (Whole Sea Bass)* crispy whole fish!
Get the Basil Beef, but order it extra spicy.
Try bun (cold noodle) for lunch special.
Try the Phoga soup with a little bit of hot sauce, my favorite
Pho ga is not authentic but still really yummy. Despite being huge and busy, I still received very attentive service.
Beef Bun Xao noodles with the spicy sauce. Yummers!
The La Sa Ga is PHENOMENAL!
The pho ga isn't served traditionally and it was ok. Maybe try the phi Thai
Bao Xao lunch special for $8.50 Not bad
Bao Xao lunch special for $8.50
Bao Xao Looks good!
beef cube stake is really good. but the portion is big.
Get the hot and sour soup. It's awesome!
Get the La Sa Tom soup on a cold day (shrimp & coconut milk). Guaranteed to warm you up.

Huge portions of the pork chop - worth the price!
This has always been one of my favorite restaurants, but the quality of the chicken in the La Sa Ga soup has gone downhill. Used to be all white meat. Now mixed with dark and gristle. Yuck.
Once steady shrimp coconut milk soup with bean sprouts and basil didn't hit in 2 tries, 7/5/13. Mushy noodles, missing bean sprouts and tepid flavorless soup was served.
Once steady shrimp coconut milk soup didn't hit in 2 tries
Kitchen closes at 11...FYI
The food was good, can eat there again, quiet that you can have a conversation, not so friendly personal tho.
Pho Bo Soup is my fav!
Really good food. Not over priced either. The soups are incredible.
A littlething, but the lemonade soda is perfect.
The shrimp wanton soup is fairly disgusting... avoid. Stick with the pho ga.
NYU students with a school ID get 10% off when they dine in.
People with shellfish allergies: there's shrimp in the meat spring rolls. The food here is great, just be careful to ask!
Good: The best Vietnamese food in the city!! We got pho, basil chicken, spicy tasty chicken entrees and they are really delicious! Bad: the server looked/sounded like she didn't want to do the job
