It's become a great neighborhood eatery since the arrival of veteran chef Ben McNamara (ex-New Wave), whose reservoir of gastropub fare has resolved the kitchen's early troubles. Read more

Excellent service. The pizza I ordered was just OK but my dinner mates loved their dishes so maybe I just chose poorly. I'm willing to give it another go. Great place to watch the World Cup.

Tuesday night open mic nights are absolutely TERRIBLE. The hosts are awful. They take 5 minutes to intro each comedian & then let all of their unfunny friends go first rather than everyone at random

Any server will give you "a lousy attitude" when you split a check 8 ways and you end up screwing up the math. $2 tip? You should't eat out.

Philly is full of gastropubs, but it’s rare to find a place that gets all three elements—the atmosphere, the food and the drinks—right. St. Stephen’s does.
