Don't understand why it's rated so high, sorry. The yakitori was below average.

Lots of yakitori options! Many of the dishes skew on the salty side.

Authentic and excellent Japanese food and a nice sake menu. Yellowtail and yakitori was excellent and the green tea dessert cake. A nice vibe good for groups but gets busy.

Casual and authentic Izakaya, maybe one of the rare places in midtown where finding inexpensive meals is quite challenging. Get started with taco-wasa(raw octopus with wasabi).

Not as good as the rave reviews would suggest... all the dishes were mediocre at best. Avoid the dry, charred yakitori. Chawanmushi portion is large but just tastes like salty, soggy rice.

Long wait, worth it! Grab a drink at the sports bar next door while you wait. Wasabi shumai, dried skate, meat skewers and $12 pitchers!

Authentic izakaya experience. A very unique place in an otherwise lame part of town. You'll definitely try something new here. Octopus balls, grilled squid, skewered meats, etc

Keep your eyes open! It was a bit of a challenge trying to find this place but, it was worth it. The Crispy Chicken with Miso Sauce Over Rice was really good and the prices were very reasonable.

Portions on sautees/noodles/rice are bigger than you'd imagine from an izakaya. Yakitori on point

I love to get a combination of things and share with whoever I'm dining with, so we can get a taste of everything. The chicken hearts, the salmon sashimi, and the fried rice are the best things to try

A hidden gem in Time Square. The place is literally in a basement. A wide selection of sake and the food is good too. I recommend the mentai pasta and the assortment of yakitori skewers!
