Jewish comfort food with a lot of kitsch. The chopped liver and the egg creams are delicious. This place gets super rowdy, making it a great birthday party destination.
One of the most fun dinners I've had. Guy on the piano is incredible. You'll end up eating more food than you can imagine, drinking more vodka than humanly possible, and dancing with total strangers!
A guaranteed good time filled w delicious Roumanian food. Be sure to try out the chopped liver! When was the last time you heard someone say *that*?!
Say it's your friend's Bar Mitzvah. Better yet, say it's his Bris. You will not regret this decision.
$55 Prix Fixe buys you all the potatoes (+meat) you can eat. $300 buys you a bottle of Vodka in ice. So, just bring like $101 and you'll be fine. Also, try the Hora. It's fun.
You walk in with a mediocre first impression. You walk out feeling it's one of the most underrated places in Downtown NYC. A gem!
If you are finding out about this place via foursquare, you aren't the target audience. The ambience of a church basement bingo hall with park avenue prices.
They hAve alka selter at the door for a reason.... Use it
It's not about the food, it's the overall experience. Get the souped-up chopped liver. Yes, Dani Luv is schmaltzy, but he's got a funny schtick.
Go to Sammy's Roumanian Steakhouse and grab the lovely lady in the table next to you to dance to "Uptown Girl." If she doesn't kiss you reward yourself with a shot of vodka
Pricey but worth going once for the atmosphere ("it's like going to a Jewish wedding") and live music. Food is subpar (they use cheap cuts of steak). Chopped liver is their specialty
Everything here was amazing, especially the entertainment (e.g., Dani Luv)
Chopped liver is to die for!
Don't forget the gravy. It make the mashed potato taste fabulous
like nothing else in this world
The latkas and steak are amazing, but the best part is the entertainment on Fri, Sat, and Sunday nights
Order the full bottle of vodka for your table. Trust me, you WILL end up drinking it all!
The very Eastern European menu includes saline chicken liver, garlicky karnatzlach sausage and enormous beef tenderloins, all of which are hearty enough to slow down the hora.
Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to loud bar mitzvah music. Put the schmaltz on everything.
You go here for the atmosphere more then the food. An unbelievable experience. Good thing the food is also good - the steak, chicken liver and sweat breads are great choices
Everything is great here!
Try to not have fun, I dare you.
Lamb chops and latkes
Make sure to get the frozen bottle of vodka
Don't come here unless you're ready to have an AWESOME time. Loved the DJ upstairs getting the party going.
Chopped liver is to die for. Stuffed cabbage really good. Self serve egg cream is delish, but don't order it until after the meal. You will stand out. Totally fun atmosphere. Just do it.
Frozen vodka, old time jewish food, great steaks...can't get much better
Two words: Dani Luv.
Make a reservation for Friday or Saturday night!!
Schmaltz and vodka
Tourist trap on the lower east side. The food is fucking disgusting and it's insanely over priced.
Amazing experience from the fatty food to the old school New York Jew music
Best method for chilling the vodka.
fun but way overpriced. $10 for water! no joke.
Kitschy, fun, and the Romanian Tenderloin is so delish!
This place was not a typical dinner but rather an experience ! Dinner Dancing and comedyThe food is pretty good but you come here more for the incredible time!!I would go back without any hesitation
Best restaurant of all time. Hands down. No comparison.
Come for the flanken, stay for the fun
Just plain absurd
Never laughed so hard. Great place.
I dream about their chopped liver! (When I'm not dreaming about Dani Love)
Honestly one of the bet birthday party spots in the city. You and your friends won't regret it!
Gotta get the vodka in ice. Crack food to the max
Everything about this place is awesome. Especially the DJ.
