Classic but great red sauce American Italian joint. Get a pie (go with only a few toppings), baked clams, lasagna and eggplant parmigiana.

Fabulous pizza, Veal Parmigiana is fabulous, drinks are fabulous and priced reasonably.

The most perfect, classic Brooklyn spot. Walking through the door is like stepping through a time machine. Eat and be happy.

This old school Italian joint is legit. The pizza is up there with the best NY style pie joints.

One of the great pizza spots in Brooklyn. Some of the best veal I've ever had, thick cut and magnificently cooked. Don't be fooled by the plastic table cloths, this place is a classic and phenomenal.

It's like eating in grandma's basement on Sundays, complete with the grouchy waiters. I love this place! Just don't expect to ever finish off a pizza on your own.

Awesome pizza from an oven that's incredibly old and seasoned.

Not sure what all the hype is about. Pizza is meh - too thick cheese and not very flavorful. Love that it's an old school spot but not worth the calories!

there is an old NY attitude, and a "no slices" policy,coal-fired brick oven pizza, chewy-yet-crispy crust and a nostalgia-inducing mix of sauce and melty cheese.

Cash only, which I should know better by now being in NY.

Even if the pizza was no good, it'd still be worth a visit for the fantastic old-school decor—straight from a Scorcese movie. Luckily, the pizza's great, so dinner here is a must-do if you're nearby.

order the pizza! you can't miss, and the epic old school vibe is unbeatable (vintage signage, red & white checkered tablecloth, waiters that have been around 40 years, and more)

Recommended Dishes - Scallopini ala Sam's; large pizza pie with one topping...The pizza itself was surprisingly good. Great, even.

Pizza and pasta are good, but you can find their equal at other places in Bklyn. You cannot find gnocchi like this anywhere, though. Handmade. Pillowy. This is something special.
