People tend to check in during these times:
This place is a total scene. It is a great workout and I like the views. It's better now that they banned the personal trainers. There are hot people everywhere. Good eye candy and motivation
Wonderful if it gets crowded you can always switch to other Side on amalfi
Excellent scenery and best at night.
Less crowds around 6:30 in the evenings on weekdays. 👍😅
Great workout. Bad parking.
Nice sweat in this California weather.
#HOF I MAY NOT BE THERE YET, BUT I'M CLOSER THAN I WAS YESTERDAY #TRAINHARD #EATHEATHY @houseoffundamentals
Aqui estamos de nuevo:-)
Best place for a free late night workout. Crowded during day hours.
Great workout for the legs! Read more
Must have permit to park after 6pm daily.
Definitely not for first timers. Pretty view though:)
The concrete stairs have 189 steps total and the wooden ones have 169 steps total.
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!
Did 7 sets my first time after a long run. Legs felt like jelly after.
A much more attractive version of the Exorcist steps in DC.
Words can't describe. Super steep stairs built into the side of a mountain. Hurts so good!
Great free workout, gets super crowded and smells bad when its hot.
I find that if I bring along a nice dry white wine, these stairs are much more enjoyable!
Great workout! Nice view too :)
Get an oxygen tank & Gatorade for this
Do 3 steps at a time on your last set!
Go down concrete steps, jog across to the wooden steps. Semi jog wooden steps then walk across to the concrete steps. This equates to a lil over 2 miles and great for your glutes!!
Great place to get some outdoor exercise and people watch. But note that gets routinely crowded on weekends and weekday evenings.
Kick ass, no mercy stairs. But, often overcrowded. And very often with the scantily clad who want to be seen. I use the adjacent streets to make a loop. 7th street has a nice hill to run.
Best free workout in L.A.
Great calf workout. Just say no to cankles!
Do as many sets as you can, until your legs feel like they're on fire and you can't take another step. Then do 2 more sets.
Did these for the first time last week and I am soooooo sore still!
Middle lane is for passing. Upward traffic has the right of way. 3 min pace up and down is where its at!!!
Bring your resistance bands
There needs to be a third set of stairs for the slow and elderly
Go for a light jog in around the neighborhood for a warm-up, then do the stairs.
I love the complaints for the stairs on the tips section. "Middle is for passing," " don't bring an iPod," "no cell phone conversations..." You guys crack me up!
Don't fall down the stairs, TOTALLY not fun.
If you need to a smoke break (!!!) please do it in your car or away from everyone, not at the top of the stairs!
I'm sure you're very important but your cell phone conversation can wait until you're off the stairs.
I like both
the middle lane is for passing, not for dogs or friends.
Wear a pushup bra and don't bring an ipod...
Climb this: go up the concrete and metals ones, then jog to the wood ones to go down (easier on your joints)
Go in the mornings to avoid a cattle like clusterf*ck
