Mixed feelings. The cheek meat in the cheek-meat ramen was a delicious morsel of porky candy. Unfortunately I found the ramen and broth to be a bit bland.
One of the best Ramen places in the Bay Area. #ramen #santaramen #food #foodporn
Pork cheek ramen is awesome!
Long lines, but they move quickly. Worth it! Try the garlic ramen.
Great stewed pork belly!
An OG ramen spot. Pork belly often runs out but the cheek's pretty darn good. Love the fresh tofu appetizer.
Great ramen but someone needs to teach the staff a lesson in agile
Pork belly ramen with garlic pork broth. Add fresh seaweed
the egg is hard boiled, NOT soft boiled. don't bother getting an extra one.
Ramen is decent . I would come as early as possible because it is really busy . A lot of people !! You must get the chicken karaage.
The line is intensely long at lunch (60 min?) You'd do best to come well before noon or for a pretty late lunch.
They used to serve very good ramen at their previous location. It was worth to wait long, but they obviously sacrifice the quality of their ramen to serve more people.
Black garlic pork ramen. It won't beat Parlor or Dojo, but you already knew that.
Get there early for the stewed pork; they regularly run out of it.
Shoyu (soy sauce) Ramen w/pork and Kimchi
Order off the menu at front door. Don't order off the chalkboard. They'll still tell u 2 point it out on menu. Food.... Meh....
Not too long of a wait on weeknights. Come early before they run out of pork cheek.
Try the Deluxe Garlic Pork Ramen - #flavorful, #greatramen
Came here to avoid the crowds at Ramen Dojo (same owner,BTW). A lot larger restaurant. Noodles were well cooked, however broth was not at par, less condiments and overall a less satisfying experience.
The extras are awesome. Order a few.
Try the Pork Cheek Soy Sauce Ramen -
The pork cheek meat ramen bowls are a good deal! Just $1.25 more than the originals and there's a lot more stuff in it! I liked the pork flavor one!
You order before you sit, so be ready!
Stewed Pork soy sauce & chicken karage my fave! <3
Deluxe garlic pork ramen, mild spicy. NOM.
Here's a tip, or Can you handle the whole thing? ;)
Are you really going to eat your soggy leftovers if you take it to-go? I didn't think so.
If you're using a fork or holding your chopsticks less than 2/3s down, #youredoingitwrong
Come early!!' By 7pm they may run out of the good ramen
New! Garlic Pork....Amazing!!!
Black ramen is the best.
Santa Ramen has gone really downhill after their ownership change. Go to the nearby Ramen Dojo or Himawari instead.
Always ask what is available because they run out of soy sauce too and might not tell you beforehand.
Santa ramen, dojo, and parlor are all owned by the same people and have mostly the same menu. Santa & dojo are closed tuesdays, parlor mondays.
Try the Deluxe Pork Ramen
Try the Chicken Karaage
Try the new Garlic Pork Ramen, or even better, get it Deluxe Style.
There are better Ramen places in San Mateo. Go to any of the ones downtown instead!
Yes, it's as good as the line says it is. Play with your phone, talk with your hungry friends and wait. And no talking when the bowl of goodness is placed in front of you - just slurp and give thanks.
Get the stewed pork!
Deep fried squid legs - yum!
Pork flavor / miso toppings + extra cabbage & mushroom
Pork ramen miso topped with kimchi, your mouth will thank you
All members of your party need to be present if you wanna be seated.
The pork broth is the best!
Pork flavored ramen with a boiled egg.
Come early. There was only 1 of 3 choices of ramen left. Be aware there is a minimum charge of 7.95 per person (like cover at the club)
Get there early right before they open to avoid the long, long wait. If you have a kid who sits in high chair, bring your own travel portable high chair because they only have two highchairs on site.
Spicy Cod Roe FTW!
Try the Miso Ramen
