Main station in Madrid. Very loud and crowded. Watch your bags!
The station doesn't look trendy, not a lot of food choices. Don't plan to spend time before boarding. But Renfe rail can use iPhone Passport to check in, which is great.
It's ok, nothing outstanding.

This dirty little trick I'm sharing with you right now... Your TMB card also opens the ports to the train platforms. You can travel for hours for just one euro. Don't get caught.
Go go goo!!!
They've got a great fully automatic luggage storage here. Pay 4-5 euros for 24 hours depending on the size of your bag and be free to have a walk around the city with no load on your shoulders.
The way this place is described you'd think you're going to get a net thrown over you when you walk outside. I'm sure there's pickpockets and shady people around but arriving midday we had no issues.
