The best fried zucchini I've ever had - make sure to ask for it w Marinara sauce. Chicken parm is good, lasagna is awesome.
Get the mozzarella... thing. So good.
Try a ragu dish and give your server a high five from Nicky!
Nice, romantic Italian place in the LES, great prices & fantastic menu of food/wine. Try The Plank
The polenta is served on an wood plank with a bolognese...they nailed it! Come check this place out.
Italian-American comfort food with a nose to tail ethos good for group dining.
Really nice and romantic italian restaurant in downtown Manatthan, with a great wine selection! #barbera
It's cash only peeps!
Only amateurs try to eat here on a Friday or Saturday night
tasting table reco angel hair pasta with a fried egg and potatoes.
To die for. Try the Plank and Burrata salad with Imported cheese from Italy. Worth the wait. Fantastic service. Fave.
Great place. Music they play is mad hipster. I feel like I'm in hipstaly (hipster Italy)
My mother-in-law says "the headbanger music is a little MUCH," and she is paying. @lolsam
The Zucchini Limone dish is perfect! Pretend pasta made out of zucchini strands. Delish! W/ @lizmillernyc & @projectmattnyc
Get "The Plank" if you dare. Super filling but super yummy way to experience the ragu. Also burrata if they have as special - cheese ball as big as my head. For realz.
Try the Stringless Braciole (via @Foodspotting)
Everything is amazing but the bolognese sauce is killer! Sit at the bar and u get to watch all the food come out! Already planning my next trip!
Prices are misleading. Smaller portions that what you might expect. Very tight seating.
Try the Tiramisu - Have been meaning to eat here for a while. So cheap, it's crazy. Tiramisu is better at Bianca, but this does the trick. (via @Foodspotting)
Delicious restaurant. Veronese is a good choice with a good wine.
Best chick parm ever! No joke.
The chicken parm is out of this world. Best gravy in NYC (counting my mom's!). Skip the polenta/bolognese plank though... It's basically a slop poured on some wood and is missing substance.
The house red is phenomenal- try the plank and the giant ball of burrata- you won't be sorry
Peanut allergy friendly ( just mind desserts)
Awesome servers, eat outside, order the plank...its amazeballs
Great food. Great tunes. Great time!
Best seats at Sauce are at the bar where you can see the kitchen. So grab a stool and order the filetto di pomodoro with fresh ricotta. To DIE for. Steak was basically my side dish.
Go for brunch/lunch. Delicious but small portions
Check out the polenta plank. Very cute.
Tapas style Italian. Great sauce (of course). Pasta was great, just wish they had bigger portions. It's Pasta... it's cheap to make.
Have the polenta on the plank. Absolutely amaze balls!
Unfussy Italian, amazing service, and pretty much everything's under $20. A must.
The red sauce gets mad salty here, so make sure to balance it with something blander (worst case, bread).
This place has the BEST French Toast in NYC, hands-down!
Great place! The seating area outside is great, there's always sun! Also it's nice to check out the hassle in the kitchen when sitting at the bar. Porcini Tortellini are really awesome
Lambrusco is $6 a glass. Have a glass, then have another
Great salad with apples, mint, olives, ricotta salatta, pine nuts and lemon dressing, and great cheap pasta, too!
Nero D'Avola .. Good Sicilian wine with a lot of character as per E.Groffman
Dad's Marinara Gnocchi Sorrentina + Polenta board bolognese. MUST EAT - you deserve it!
In 2 visits it's become my favorite Italian restaurant on the LES. It's delicious, reasonable and new.
Omgg so fucking delish!!!!!! Try fried zucchini (drool). Stuffed peppers. And steak!
Best bar / open kitchen!
Damn, that polenta and bolognese is sexy.
the burrata comes in on thursdays and sells out quickly. probably related to the fact that you can usually find me at the bar pushing it. don't miss out.
Music is mostly top 40 from 2007, which kills any romantic vibe in this beautiful Italian restaurant.
SO Disappointing. Bolognese tastes like Chef Boyardee. Were in and out in 15 mins, defiantly felt rushed. Couldn't even finish my food, that bad tasting.
panna cotta whoa
