Go by Scholz's for unique and authentic German beers on tap
Austin's oldest outdoor biergarten and dining hall was built by German immigrant August Scholz in 1866. They still serve some German dishes alongside nachos, and burgers to a largely politico crowd.
Scholz bills itself as the oldest bar in Texas - they've been serving politicos, college students and other faithful lovers of their German biergarten food for well over 100 years. [Eater 38 Member]
