    Protip: go for brunch at an off time like 11 am on a Thursday. No line and excellent service. Fried chicken on fleet and pimento cheese app are amazing. Nice homey atmosphere and excellent food.

    The waits defy logic but the food is fantastic. Love the trout for dinner! Grits that are delicious. Tons of side vegetables in unique ways. Once in a blue moon do the fried chicken and it's crazy.

    We tried everything and it was perfect! Blood orange drinks, start with the grits, fried chicken meal and screen door special gets you the catfish (amazing!), pork chop and mac and cheese!

    Their take on chicken & waffles is just a little different from what you're probably used to. Three massive, boneless, skinless, chicken breasts. Wear your fat pants if you plan on taking it on.

    There WILL be an hour wait on the weekend. Just know that going into it. They have these spicy potatoes that are spectacular, though, and their tofu hash (or scramble, I forget) is really nice.

    The fried chicken may be the star of the show, but the roasted pork shoulder is truly special. The pork is incredibly tender and comes served with a rich, molasses-based sauce.

    For dinner, get the three-piece dinner special for variety. For brunch, it can't be repeated enough, get the chicken and waffles. An easy contender for Portland's best reataurant.

    You can order the chicken and waffles with 1 or 2 pieces of chicken, instead of three, if you want! A much more manageable portion :)

    They don't seat incomplete parties, so make sure everyone is early. Get there about an hour before u want to eat. Long lines are worth the wait.

    Might be my favorite brunch spot. The wait can be ridiculous, but the food is incredible. Best chicken and waffles in Portland too. Worth the wait.

    Beware: portions are huge! The fried chicken is fabulous but could easily feed two. And the Mac and cheese is intense, in a good way.

    You're going to be too full for dessert, and that's a cryin' shame. But here's the solution: after dinner, get the ban-offee pie to go. An hour after you get home, eat the pie in your pj's. Bliss.

    Show up at around 4:45-5:00 and you should be seated with first batch of diners when doors open at 5:30 otherwise be prepared to wait

    Brunch here is amazing. I recommend the fried chicken (aka cathead) sandwich or chicken and waffles. You won't be disappointed!
