Grab coffee at Café Vita (C3) and some world-famous mac & cheese at the adjacent Beecher's. Pick up some 90s swag at Sub Pop. Then sit in the atrium and watch a live local band. Perfection.

Anthony's Seafood is best food here. Their side kitchen is quick and quality. There is a small table and outlet right next to the plasticware station.. located by Life is Good and Exofficio

Look South to see Mount Rainier the most prominent mount (from base to top) in the Continental US. It has a prominence of 13,211 ft (greater than K2--the world's 2nd tallest mountain--at 13,179 ft)

If you plan to take the train to the city, note that you can only buy a day pass for the current day - do not try to buy two at once for today and tomorrow, you may get stopped and warned, nicely tho

Sea-Tac had some of the best Seventies public art in its open spaces. The podium-controlled light wall was a favorite. Public wifi and access to Sound Transit light rail into Seattle are available. Read more

Pros: free wifi, great food options, very clean and nice decor. Cons: line was really long at north terminal, one of the longest I've seen at an airport on Saturday afternoon. Go early if you can.

TSA TIP #3 Remove your laptop(s) and shoes/belts while waiting in line for the x-ray machines and carry them in your hands to be ready for the bins, remember laptops are placed in a bin by itself.

Food courts at the S gates are limited. Grab a Lemon Loaf & Decaf at Seattle's Finest Coffee kiosk, or do a takeaway from the restaurant in front of it as there's a wait time of 20 mins for seating.

When making your way from the C or D terminals to the S terminal don't follow signs to walk through A terminal for shuttle tram to S, cut through B terminal to tram. It's much faster and less crowded.

If you are flying out of SEA on the same day that cruise ships are changing over and you don't have TSA pre check or Priority Access from an airline, add at least 60 minutes for the TSA line alone.

Spent the night there last night. It gets cold so ask for a blanket. Best place to sleep is behind the ticket wall to keep light and sound out. Stay away from windows. Night crew is very helpful!

The rental car facility has moved off site which makes getting to and from the airport take a lot longer. Take Uber to get around instead and take advantage of the region's diamond lanes as well.

When they call for first class to board on your flight, even if you're in group 5, make sure to rush up to the front of the line and block everyone else. This will make boarding go faster.

If you have kids: In the B concourse there are fish on the floor. See if your kids can find the ones holding luggage or shaped like a plane. And one of the water fountains has a sound feature.

Seattle-Tacoma International is the home airport of Alaska Airlines and a big Delta hub. With growing international services to Asia and Europe, the airport is (still) an ideal connecting airport.

If you rent a car at SeaTac plan for an extra 30+ minutes because the rental car facility has now been moved offsite and a shuttle bus will transport you to and from the terminals, similar to LAX.

Seattleites will loath me, but Ivar's clam chowder at the airport is my soul food every time I fly out. As for the airport itself, it's big, confusing, and it's unchanged since the 90s, but I like it.

Really fine airport facility. Security experience is much improved over the past. The dining and shopping choices are superior, compared to most airports. New rent car facility is too remote, tho.

I love this airport. It is magically quite somehow. Even though it's busy, it's not noisy at all. Very nice for getting work done. And free WiFi. And of course, good coffee. :)

When the check-in line is as long as the airport itself, don't hesitate to use the curbside baggage check service offered by most airlines. A tip is polite, but it is worth the saved time.

Don't pay for the "express" charge kiosks! Bring a 1A(Belkin, Apple, etc.) USB charger, and look for other kiosks. They have to plug in somewhere, often with a free plug for YOU!

Absolutely one of the worst airports in America of the multitude that I visit. From the rental shuttle experience to the TSA experience to the terminal experience, this is the Flintstones of airports.

If you take a late night flight (~11/11:30pm), be prepared for long security lines up to 40 minutes. They close down half of the entry points. Allow extra time if your airline's in a satellite gate.

There's nobody at the JetBlue counter from 530p-745p. If you're on a redeye to JFK and come super early, try bag dropoff at 530p, even though check-in is 4 hrs max prior. Or just cruise the free wifi!

This airport is pretty busy and you'll be lucky if you don't have to wait in line. Even at 5am there is a long line, so get there 2 hours before the flight as suggested.

Certainly arrive 2 or 3 hours before your flight departs because there are connection trains to catch plus avoiding any delays in the check-in points is best, which is a given.

Even if you check in online, United bag check-in for early AM flights is a disastrous experience. Avoid at all costs, or at least leave yourself a good hour to stand in line. Ridic understaffed.

After dealing with DFW Airport for a decade I really appreciate the simplistic design of Seatac. Only one simple terminal! While the after check in area still have the feel of a large airport.

The cheapest way to get downtown is the Light Rail, only 2-3$. The Downtown Airporter will take you to your hotel and pick you up on your departure date for a bit more than 50$

Using the light rail to get downtown is super easy. It's a bit of a walk from the terminal, but the signage is good and it's all through the parking ramp, so it's covered.

Vino Volokh has a great wine sampler option. The chilli was delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing with jazz music. You may spend a lot but it's worth it.
