If you're on an iPhone, the phillysubway app is a good free way to get the El schedules.
Safe choice for tokens is at CVS because there isn't a machine to dispense tokens and a guy isn't always at the window. I side with Mike.
Sometimes there is only one person at the window who will only accept exact change.
