Shake Shack is a modern day "roadside" burger stand serving the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine and more!
Still craving the black and white (frozen custard with fudge) shake. Also the concretes have a special flavor each day of the week. The c-line for these means a 5 minute wait instead of out the door.
Shake Shack has been listed among some of America's finest dining establishments in a new ranking of the country's best restaurants according to The Daily Meal list. NYC dominate the top 20 spots.
I got the chicken dog and strawberry shake (2 out of 5 stars). If your type of food is plain American food, then this is it. Good luck finding a spot to eat on a Wednesday afternoon in the summer.
Visiting from Toronto and we decided to try it! Did not disappoint, burgers were juicy with fresh toppings. Simple and delicious. Make sure to pick up condiments as they do not come dressed!
This decade-old Danny Meyer E coast burger & shake chain serves my 2nd fave burger- Single Shack Burger w/ Pat LaFreida's 100% all-natural Angus beef...altho' their Shack fries top my #1 fave In-N-Out
If you haven't had Shake Shack but think you love burgers, you don't as much as you think you do. It's one of America's best fast-food burgers. Yes, better than In-N-Out, and yes, it has its own se...
Whoa long line but moves super fast. Crowded so keep a lookout an open table while waiting for your # to be called. Burger is just ok but worth a try. Crinkle cut fries are a must.
The chicken sandwich is a must. I hope it stays forever. I love the shack stack. Those delicious fried portobello tops and that sauce are a match made in heaven.
Shake Shack opened its Upper West Side outpost in 2008, and the lines have been around the block ever since. If you go for an afternoon snack, you should be able to waltz in for their shroom burger.
Awesome food! Purple cow was delicious. GO EARLY! Worth the money but can be a huge time killer if you are on vacation. There is a reason people wait in line.
Hard to get seats but do a few loops around and stay behind a table that is about to finish eating. Or you can ask a couple if you can share their booth. The Shake Stack burger is all kinds of yum!
The double shack burger is delicious. Had a strawberry milkshake too and it was excellent. Best fast food shake I've had. Bit expensive though, dbl shack burger, fries and shake for almost $20
Not the best Shake Shack around (what do you expect, it's Times Square)... but still the best burger in the area. Perfectly cooked burgers and delicious shakes. Hard to find a seat in this place.
Shackmeister Ale, cheese fries and a few double Shack burgers. For one or two people, it doesn't matter, you will leave very happy. Sit on the floor if you have to!
Went into Shake Shake expecting a gut bomb similar to Steak n Shake or In & Out, but was surprisingly amazed. All fresh and high quality ingredients with lots of smang flavors. Overall mad tasty
This gourmet burger joint masquerades as a cookie-cutter chain, but don't be fooled: there's some serious gourmet ingredients & styling to this menu. Salted caramel hot cocoa is a must on a cold day.
It might look commercial but they are some of the best burgers in town. Worth the wait. Although most locations are better, as in everything time square is crowded and full of tourists.
A great deal for NY food...4 of us ate dinner and dessert for 45 bucks. There is also unlimited free water and plastic cups! A great deal!!! Had a burger and Concrete pretzel...OMG!!!
Worth the wait--single hamburger with Shake sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles! Save $$$ by getting a free cup of water (towards back of restaurant).
I have friends who don't like cinnamon and nutmeg. If you are one too, stay away from the Mexican fudge brownie custard. It's actually spicy. The burger though - love it love it love it!!!
Order the 'shroom burger if you aren't feeling meaty. It's so good, so juicy, so cheesy! Who needs meat! ;) ps. the fries are super awesome, but next time I'll be sure to ask for no salt.
Don't get impressed by the line. It goes fast. And it's worth to wait and try the Smoke Shack and the cheese fries. Despite being a chain, they serve really gourmet burgers!
The NYC version of In and Out or the Midwest version of Steak n Shake. Concretes are like Pokémon--different versions at different locations so you have to travel to like them all.
We had to queue up quite a while to get these burgers. Burgers were worth to wait (but not the best I've tried so far), their French fries were yummo!
Open til midnight so indulge in your late night burger cravings. They also have fries to get rid of at the end of the night for free so keep that in mind potato lovers
Burger was not amazing. Flimsy little patty. Not sure what everyone is on about. Shakes, drinks, and fries are quite good. Take the express line if you're only ordering drinks/cold food.
No mattar who many good burgers i've ever had. Shake shack is my fav. I love this juicy meat with that greasy mustered sauce oh so yum. No other place can do it better!
Thumbs up to the indoor Shake Shack! Shackburger's a must & the Peanut Butter shake is yummy! Very nice staff, insisted upon giving me an extra treat for free when my buzzer didn't ring!
Shack Stack!! Portobello mushroom with fried cheese. The cheese oozes out whilst you bit into the burger. So delicious. The concretes are good too! Just super long lines :(
Decent burger spot, slightly overrated. Very nice presentation though with fast-food restaurant like order service (think applebees, red lobster, fridays etc.). Five Guys win the burger battle however
The menu's practically identical to the other Shacks, but try some of the new concretes here: Great White Way (vanilla, marshmallow, crunchies) and Pretzel! (choco, peanut butter, pretzels, marshmallo
Simply the best burger you've ever had. Don't bother with hot dogs or shrooms or whatever, it takes valuable space in your stomach, go straight for the cheeseburger, it's to die for.
Shack stack (beef burger+Shrooms burger) with cheese fries then chocolate truffle cookie dough concrete to finish. Sedap gila tahap dewa which basically translates f**king delicious.
Don't let the lines fool you, they move fast. If only rude people w/o food wouldn't hog tables while they wait there'd be no shortage of places to sit once you do get your food, so tell them off.
It has a long line but moves pretty fast. The shroom burger is like cheesy mushroom dont get me wrong its gooooood. Well, had 3 variants of their burger all was goooood!
Try the Pumpkin Pie Frozen Custard Concrete (fruit dessert) - I liked this concrete the best of all the ones I've tried here. Too bad it's only available during the holidays.
Ok... All the hype is god good reason. The smokshack burger with bacon and chili is to die for. It was soo good I didn't want to finish it... Fantastic! (Minus the jungle crowd)
This one has the curse of being crowded ALL OF THE TIME, so be pacient while you hunt for a seat. And remember, there's a water station right next to the restroom.
I read all of the reviews saying this place had the best burgers, and after eating here I couldn't agree more. It honestly is delicious. Hoping we get some in St. Louis.
Look - the line is rediclious. Perhaps when you own a popular burger place in Times Square, you should have more than 2 cashiers and less than 40 people in the kitchen. Just my thought...
The burger is so good you don't need anything else on it except for cheese. If there's no seating, you can get it to go and sit at a table in Times Square.
Those looking for a competitor of the great west coast burger joint In N Out, this isn't it. There is no comparison. This is a glorified BK that costs $6. Nothing tasted "fresh". Just greasy.
The smokeshack is delicious, but if you don't like spicy food you might want to skip the red pepper. Delicious fries, good prices and free drink refills.
Our vote for best burger in the city and while you will have to wait in a long line, it's worth it. Shack burger with cheese fries and a chocolate shake. Say no more.
Ridiculous seating situation. Be prepared to take it to go or wait around. Be on top of your game because seating goes quick! Definitely try their delicious cheese fries
Go early (at opening) or go late to miss the crowds. If you're just in for a shake (or other cold food), you can skip the big line for a shorter one inside.
We had to queue up quite a while to get these burgers. Burgers were worth to wait (but not the best), their French fries were yummo!
It usually crowded, table space in short supply, but if you're solo, and don't need to stay long, try the counter space around the water dispenser toward the back left
