Shedd Aquarium is the world's largest aquarium. the dolphins and sharks are too amazing and cool . It is a outstanding view
If you have kids, go early and sign on for the show and keep your coats to sit on because it is cement! The Shedd and their shows are full ADA accessible.
Wednesdays and Thursdays are the most frequent school field-trip days, so try a Monday?

Fantastic Aquarium experience
Well, for 8$ u'll receive enough fishes in tanks. But in general nothing special.
Great place - The daily pass won't include shows. 30$-80$ per ticket
For a two year old, General admission is sufficient!
$5 tickets for locals. (Hint: go with a local)
Well, the aquarium in Dubai impressed me more, but this one is also nice. I wish the shows would be more interesting.
Dolphins were blocked off for the newborn. Was a nice aquarium, may be biased but the Camden aquarium is nicer.
That Aquarium is well laid out and staff is friendly. The shark Aquarium is great, will give you goose bumps! I had the CityPass, good value for money!
Expensive stop but perfect with kids and extreme weather
Great views around the shedd. It's one of the best aquariums in the US
In the summer look out for jazzin at the shedd! Adult fun!
Try to get pass so you can skip the line and get in faster.
A la carte pricing for the good stuff: otters, whales, and dolphins 🐶🐋🐬💰
Do not pay the $40, $8 will do the same job.
The stingray exhibit is wonderful!
The aquarium is clean with large viewing areas. Getting there early meant short lines and easy access to the aquariums.
A must visit if in Chicago alone or with the family. The Aquarium takes about 3-5 hours to go through the whole thing. Get the VIP pass to see all the shows and definitely get the stingray touch.
Very very crowded on any day in the summer. Make sure to pre-purchase tickets so the wait is shorter. Nice amount of critters to see!
Budget lots of time here. At least 1 full day.
Great view in the dining area
Pay the extra $ and go see the penguins
The penguins are very funny and the beluga whales are cool!
I liked this place more than The Field Museum! If you have a school ID the tickets are only $5 for general admission. Go early though to bypass the crowds.
The best aquarium!
Beautiful aquarium but beware the long lines on weekends. Pre-purchase your tickets or be prepared to wait 30+ minutes to get in!
Nice place to kids
Love this place! We spent 5 hours checking out the exhibits and shows -only 1 big negative -1 hour wait time ti get into the Shedd - what's up with that?
The aquatic show is very much education, with very little show. Unless you're looking to make this an education trip this addition can be avoided.
Saying this place is amazing is an understatement. Great tourist spot but expect it to be a little $$. Great for all ages
Such a cool fish museum!
Great place! Lots to learn about underwater life :)
Get there early!
One of the first indoor aquarium ever. Originally had the saltwater transported by train from Key West in Florida.
This is one of those places you must visit in Chicago. The diversity of fish they have here is astounding. Even when it's busy and crowded, the other visitors are very courteous.
Be sure to check the free admission days for IL residents!
I don't know anything about fish, but this place is amazing!
Excellent aquarium, choose the CityPass, great deal!!!
It's always a good place to go with friends or family.. I'm from Brazil and had visited twice in different periods already.. High season like Christmas or News Eve must be patient.. Too crowded!
Don't miss the Beluga !!
Fantastic day at the aquarium, I would skip the 4D show next time but the aquatics show was superb!
A fun place for all ages. I don't know how often the exhibits change so probably don't want to go on a weekly basis. My daughter loves the place and shows.
Get to the aquatic show early. This is the place fills up 10+ minutes before it starts
