It's a small theater so any seat is pretty good. Pay less for the balcony and still enjoy the show. Matilda was awesome!

The top floor of the building houses the offices of the Shubert Organization. The theatre's auditorium and murals were restored in 1996. It has been designated a New York City landmark.

Sam Shubert was 4 yo when family emigrated to the US in 1881, settling in Syracuse. Father's alcoholism kept family in difficult circumstances, at a very young age Sam had to work as a shoeshine boy.

Matilda was awesome! Some balcony seats will have poles in front of them that partially obstruct their view. Small (but great) venue for a musical.

EXCELLENT production. The inter-generational acting, the set, the deep concepts mixed with humor. Really strong performance. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly big theater. Matilda is a great show, though a bit dark and scary even though the actors are kids.

The head of the person in the row in front of you definitely blocks your view. The seats aren't as well positioned (height wise) as some other theaters on this street.
