    Everything is amazing, but definitely try the Tomato Tofu. It's incredibly good and very unique. Omakase or Sushi Special is a great deal for the money. Vegetable and cooked dishes are very good.

    Not for a Sushi novice or the non adventurous. Don't come up in here with the intention to order and dictate but bow down and be schooled by Samuri masters under the tutelage of Mr. Shunji. "Omakase"!

    Shunji will open for lunch, Mon-Fri, from noon to 2 PM, starting Tuesday, October 1, 2013. They will also be open for dinner on Sundays starting in October.

    Best omakase I have had in LA so far. Pricey, but worth the treat compared to others. Tomato tofu, squid ink truffled egg, and toro platter are three of the top sushi dishes I have ever had.

    I have never dined in the countryside of Japan, but Shunji is what I would expect to find if I did. It was not unrefined, quite the opposite in fact -- it was understated elegance! A must when in LA..

    We got the Japanese Style Tasting for $100 per person and it includes this very special dessert! 4 fruits! Lol! Go to Asanebo and get your money's worth!

    Not worth the money and not even close to what you would get at other top japanese restaurants such as urusawa, sushi zo or asanebo.
