You'll pay with Square here, because Jack Dorsey is an investor in the shop
not a fan of the hot chocolate, but the space is pretty awesome. great place for a quick meeting
Pay for your coffee using Square and get a glimpse of the future.
Forget everything and go basic with an espresso shot. Cleanse your palette with a cool class of sparkling water chaser.
Popular shop with hipsters and techies alike. You can pay using a Square reader on an iPad.
Legendary coffee place from Square's early day promotion. You can also spot tech celebrities going here or find a group of 4SQ engineers who might invite you to their tech events
ask for the Smokey Joe.
Boo, no wifi
No such thing as a skinny (non-fat) latte here. They have soy milk and whole milk, but no skim milk. Skim milk is soooo bourgeois.
Great coffee, but purposefully lacking in seating, outlets or WiFi, making this a place to be seen, rather than a place to be.
Try the ginger scone with an espresso and savor perfect harmony
hooker's mocha - worth having just to say it out loud.
Try the Mocha and spot it on Foodspotting!
They don't serve tea here. And if you ask, you will be shamed. I think you can order from the coffee bar upstairs if the line is long (tho I haven't tried this top secret tip yet)
The decor may be lacking (for now) but they brew the best coffee in the city IMHO.
try their drip decaf! delicious and possibly the best decaf you will ever taste
Try the ginger scone - the toughest to give up addiction in business
While you wait for your coffee, bother the baristas with coffee trivia, e.g., "does a cortado come in a ceramic cup or a glass?". Don't know the answer? Better get down to Sightglass.
sit at the bar upstairs and people watch
This coffee shop represents the pinnacle of western civilisation.
Remember - drip drinks on the right. Otherwise you'll be waiting a looong time on the left
The usual laptop crowd stays away because of the lack of Wi-Fi and power plugs, and that's a good thing. This way, the coffee and the surroundings get the attention they deserve.
Fantastic, high-ceilinged space with the roasting going on right in front of you. Try a hand-poured, single-origin drip coffee or a straight up espresso shot.
Ask for the 1950 Blend. it's apparently delish.
Head over to Sightglass and try any of their specialty drip coffees, throw in some Hooker's chocolates for a seriously delicious buzz.
Great Place to just enjoy your coffee :)
I learned to love coffee here.
Nice stylish cafe (but no wifi!)
Enjoy a doppio ristretto from the Slayer espresso machine.
A relative newcomer on the scene, it's making big waves with the technies in SOMA. Not bad - better than Ritual and Four Barrel and on some days as good as or better than Blue Bottle.
Go to Sightglass
Really good latte
No wifi. Bring a Karma.
Ginger scones are better than best
They just got fancy donuts in. The bacon one was highly recommended. The chocolate papaya was pretty good. Mmmm, high-brow.
Very good prepared drinks, although I prefer others. But for some beans to take home for your own press pot, there's are as good as it gets. And I love their logo.
Awesome coffee - pay with credit card to use Square.
get yourself some delicious coffee and dont bypass the HOOKERS SWEET TREATS
This place is pretty sweet! The baristas are kind. The music is funky. And if you come on a lucky day... You may meet the brilliant Jack Dorsey! :))
Can't believe that's a giant roaster... talk to the staff roasting coffee while waiting for your drip
Very strong espresso. Best coffee we've ever had. Oh, and Square's Jack Dorsey is one of the investors.
Try the tea. It's off the menu, but you can ask for it. Their chamomile is so good.
Try the Orange Cake - gluten-free! (via @Foodspotting)
Beautiful space, fantastic coffee. Sit upstairs and eavesdrop on startup pitches.
They sell Hooker's Sweet Treats' salted caramels!
