Kind of a wasted opportunity for a really awesome public plaza… but it does have a convenient MAX station under the Burnside Bridge.
I can see it being referred to as home of the homeless.
AKA "Trimet Skidmore Fountain", located under the Burnside Bridge at SW 1st & Ankeny.
Oldest public art in Portland (1888). Built with money willed by druggist Stephen Skidmore, designed by Olin Warner. Henry Weinhard offered to pipe beer through it. (from portlandonline.com)
