Self service is fine 4 me here but the cod fish with chip was tasteless with soggy broiled chips I supposed .. gota dip wif lotsa sauce 2 flavor it .. won't b back unless happen 2 pass by
Authentic fish&chip though a bit too oily....
Probably my first and last time here. If the English like it oily and soggy.. I'm going to pay half and enjoy my fish and chips in Changi Airport Terminal 2 staff canteen. Haha
Delicious and Authentic
Fish is decent but experience here Suxx. Food is pricey; they charged restaurant prices in a shophouse setting. And worst, no proper cutleries given; they serve the fish & chips in grease paper 👎
The cod fish (small) at $14 was really hard. Try rotisserie at China Square for better and cheaper Fish & Chips. $12 for Fish & Chips and free water too.
There isn't any ice to serve with those gassy drinks. Ouch... cannot imagine drinking root beer from can.
Greasy and yummy! Just like it should be. They r not stingy with the tartar sauce but you gotta request for it though.
I recommend the Haddock. Firm white meat with no fishy smell. Then hit it with tons of malt vinegar and salt. Bloody brilliant!
The lunch set available Mon-Thur is either with haddock or cod. But the serving portion is small compared to the ala carte. Just prepare to fill yourself with chips instead!

Try the french fries its yummy..

Soggy fish and chips! Authentic Brit cooking!
Good good, waiting slightly long but worth while for the food. Value deal for students and seniors. Generous servings and very clean toilets
Please note the 'authentic' in the name. This is what British fish & chips are SUPPOSED to be like: greasy, soggy chips, in waxed paper.
Most of the tips here make me facepalm. If your idea of fish and chips is Long John Silver or Fish & Co., and that's what you're expecting, please don't come here; you'll just add to the crowd kthxbai
As close as you'd get to the stuff you'd find in Melbourne. (Chips are meant to be soggy, FYI; fries are the crispy ones. Go to McDs if you want them.)
Sucks big time! Super oily! Fries oven baked n soggy. Served wrapped in paper. Plastic cutlery. No ice. Plastic cups. Exorbitant for such presentation. Thoroughly disappointing. Killed my appetite!
SUPER LOUSY SERVICE! Reluctant to serve, grumpy staff
Most people here clearly don't know what real British fish and chips is. Yes, the chips are a bit soggy, but absolutely perfect. Fish good too, but not cheap.
Get in early, the scallops have sold out after an hour
Greasy fish n chips, don't bother asking for grilled fish because they don't do it. Not somewhere I will be returning. Big Bad Wolf, next door is nicer, by far!
Gravy is sooooo good!
Ask for pickles and slice them up with every bite of your cod.
The best food here is Pickle !!
Singaporeans are not too used to the British way of serving fish&chips in paper. In fact in UK they serve it in newspapers... Think of it as their deli hawker....and cod/haddock have to be imported.
Same great quality ( first day at new shop) at much more convenient location - wha - could cycle here of an evening - so close to home :)
Don't forget to try the Mars bar. A must.
I don't know about the rest, but I have to say the food here is damn bloody nice
Try the Cod & Chips; crispy on the outside, tender from the inside!
Dory & Chips only $10...bargin! All fish imported and potatoes from Aussie. Gravey and curry sauce both very good.
Certainly as good (better) than most Fish &Chips shops in the UK, this place int he league of best places in UK, and yet, they serve fried fish with fried chips, you can get mushy peas etc and vinegar
British chef so what? Food haphazardly done. Bland food even after continuous hammering of gravy, salt and malt vinegar.
Very authentic except it's run by Brits (fish n chip shops in UK are run by Asians) still no steak and kidney pie, but excellent anyway
More seating available upstairs so you need not worry about the lack of seats downstairs
Chilli and tartar sauces are available upon request.
Thr r better fish & chips in sgp. Guess it's the ambience. Kinda luv their fries coz is oven cooked not fried. Fish is so so but 1 huge pc. Tasted fresh at least.
No good. Maybe only suitable for angmoh. We got better and tastier fish and chips all over SG.Oily, wrapped in big paper but it's not a real big piece of fish either. Overprice. 1st and last time.
Try Fisherman's Wharf.
Found out why they don't served ice with drinks here. Staff said lack of space in kitchen; cost cutting measure, save on dishwashing liquid.
Pricey for this kind of take away-sit-anywhere-no-aircon-self service type joint. Also waited too long for my food!
really, really oily.
Never listen to what Singaporeans say here, real British people love it !!
Fish is good, but so surprise the chicken also good ... But its a bit overprice, 10bucks for 1 chicken thigh ...
The fish and chips here is as authentic as you can get miles away from the UK. It's oily but that's the way it's meant to be. Love it! A little bit of Britain in the East :)
The food is kinda oily ):
Mythbuster 02:Salt/vinegar only - actual condiments used with real fish n chips. Bad/no service - Its a self-serve food outlet, go figure. Expensive - Alternatives in SG (rare) or overseas cost more.
Very overpriced, plastic forks. When my chips finally arrived they were absolutely covered in salt rendering them inedible.
