Some like it hot and some like to burn. Joe's offers the best of both worlds when it comes to authentic BBQ and Blues.
Live music 7 nights a week! Weeknights, no cover charge & weekends only $5. awesome bands! Blues!!!
With a dry pulled pork sandwich that begs for sauce, be sure to pick one you like. I liked the Memphis and the Carolina, although neither was anything more than ketchup or mustard (respectively).
There's music every night, but check out the three week Mardi Gras music calendar in late Jan - early Feb.
The best southern fried chicken ever. I'll come back here again. The place is just hip. Check out the music scene too!
This place has amazing BBQ, and it caters to vegetarians so everyone can enjoy a meal!
DonQ @ the Back Bar?
Kansas City Sticky is the best sauce!
Brisket is one of the best around
Chicken Fried Steak is pretty good for what you can find in Boston. A thicker cut of meat than you would find in Texas but it's not frozen. Gravy & Mac & Cheese are a little bland though.
Awesome smokehouse food, try the Andoullie Burger for a crazy explosion of smokey flavor. Slow service but great place to come if you just want to relax.
We got there early. Being from Chicago, I'm kind of "Blues-Ed out" but the 2 guys were good. Brisket was dry!!!
Best BBQ in Boston. Kick ass music scene.
Love the white Alabama sauce!!!! And love the one rib option perfect for testing the sauces. Quaint community BBQ joint, two thumbs up!
Mustard sauce is the way to go for some smooth North Carolina heat! Nothing northern about it!
I've never been disappointed. At first, I thought it was a bit pricy compared to other BBQ joints in the area, but I always leave with leftovers unlike the competition. They also have liquor!
This place is awesome. When I want to get away from the BA club scene of Boston and want to just hang out relax have a few beers and listen to some good music this is my place to go! Thumbs up!
Food is good but service needs improvement.I should never see a waitress sitting down and texting while in the meantime I'm in need of water
Call for a table hour and a half wait the restaursnt has only 20 seats. Prolly good food too bad I couldnt eat
Great food but if going for music sit away from the band. Venue is kind of small when it comes to live tunes and can be unsettling.
If you have any entrée issues CJ has your back! Great food and music.
Avoid the baked beans as a side dish. They use to have more homestyle beans with a nice brown sugar molasses sauce. Now, it seems they just use a generic flavorless canned variety.
So, as typical for most BBQ joints up in Boston -- this joint totally gets BBQ wrong. They call the vinegar based sauce "Memphis" style, which is way off. That's eastern NC. Mustard based is SC. Ugh
be sure to ask for the honey butter!
