Some like it hot and some like to burn. Joe's offers the best of both worlds when it comes to authentic BBQ and Blues.

With a dry pulled pork sandwich that begs for sauce, be sure to pick one you like. I liked the Memphis and the Carolina, although neither was anything more than ketchup or mustard (respectively).

The best southern fried chicken ever. I'll come back here again. The place is just hip. Check out the music scene too!

Chicken Fried Steak is pretty good for what you can find in Boston. A thicker cut of meat than you would find in Texas but it's not frozen. Gravy & Mac & Cheese are a little bland though.

Awesome smokehouse food, try the Andoullie Burger for a crazy explosion of smokey flavor. Slow service but great place to come if you just want to relax.

We got there early. Being from Chicago, I'm kind of "Blues-Ed out" but the 2 guys were good. Brisket was dry!!!

I've never been disappointed. At first, I thought it was a bit pricy compared to other BBQ joints in the area, but I always leave with leftovers unlike the competition. They also have liquor!

Great food but if going for music sit away from the band. Venue is kind of small when it comes to live tunes and can be unsettling.

Avoid the baked beans as a side dish. They use to have more homestyle beans with a nice brown sugar molasses sauce. Now, it seems they just use a generic flavorless canned variety.

So, as typical for most BBQ joints up in Boston -- this joint totally gets BBQ wrong. They call the vinegar based sauce "Memphis" style, which is way off. That's eastern NC. Mustard based is SC. Ugh
