Try to go during the week or early on the weekend as it can get quite crowded. Enjoy a meal of Mashed Green Plantains with Steak, live music and STRONG drinks.

Had a birthday party tonight - a party of 14. Chose the 4 course prix fixe and the food was wonderful. Appetizers were a little overlooked but everything else was perfect. :)

Had the chicken empanadas... Great decision! The Ropa Vieja is an amazing dish, plentiful & not your average restaurant beef very well seasoned!

Expensive but worth the price. So far this is the closest to Authentic Puerto Rican cuisine that I've found in the city. The steak mofongo reminds me of the mofongo I first fell in love with!!

If you have the patience to wait around for a drink and table you'll be happy you did. The festive ambiance makes the high price tag worth it. http://www.mecritic.com/places/place/265928/Sofrito

Be prepared to yell over to your neighbor if a live band is playing. The place is too small for dining & live music. My throat hurts from yelling all night. #NoMeGusta

Service is terrible. Waiters make you feel rushed, tossing utensils onto the table and damn near snatching your fork from your mouth. The food is almost worth it. The paella is to die for...
