Come for a tasting! Knowledgeable staff who explains their line of products even a liquor novice will enjoy it. Spiced pear liqueur is amazing. Bottles are cheaper at their shop than stores.
Booze, gin flight
Really fun way to spend the afternoon. Spirits are delicious. LOVE the citrus vodka and the raspberry liqueur. All the guns were amazing.
St George pepper vodka- so good
Lost a bit of its character ... Going more mainstream. Oddly, their products are becoming stranger. Found some nearly unsinkable, even while I recognize they're probably technically impressive.
Dry Rye gin is my favorite
terroir gin is probably the best of the lot... absinthe trading is fairly unique too... great view of the city from the distillery...
Pear liquor, coffee liquor, and Buddha's hand citron. Nom.
Set up a private tour and book reservations in advance! Folks say the wait on weekends can be up to a month.
Great tour- make sure your talk with Zach. He's very knowledgable and VERY FUNNY.
Bring back the spiced pear vodka!!!
Bite the bullet and buy a bottle before leaving. You know you want to.
Excellent spirits. Tastings are free because state law prevents sale of alcohol to drink on the premises. Visitors are limited to one tasting - don't plan to arrive early or to hang around long after.
Andi gives an excellent tour!
Absinthe is a must buy
Apparently those under 21 can't even take the distillery tour.
Super knowledgable people working here. So many different liquors to try. Love the coffee liquor and hangar one vodka. So smooth!!
Take a tour of the St. George Spirits distillery and try the absinthe verte.
Get some Hangar One Blueberry! It rocks!
The 2011 batch of Spiced Pear is currently being produced. It promises to be as delicious as its predecessor.
Their fourth batch of Firelit is their best yet.
also, the current bottling of the single-malt whiskey (lot 10) and the firelit coffee liqueur (batch 4, verve costa rica) are the best yet.
i've had it all and then some, but mark my words: their gins will be the NEXT BIG THING. all three of them.
Wow the absinthe + root beer was a.m.a.z.i.n.g!
You're lucky if you can score a bottle of the chipotle
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Coffee liqueur & the raspberry liqueur are very good.
Amazing tasting! If you visit with a "repeat offender," they'll give a few sips of spirits off the menu as well!
The tour is highly recommended. Entertaining and informative. These guys love what they do and it shows. Oh, and spring for the upgraded tasting so you can get some of that absinthe.
$10 for a tasting of awesome eaux de vie, vodkas, whiskeys, qi tea and fruit liqueurs! The tour is also entertaining.
Request Andie for your tasting.
Take the Alameda Ferry and avoid driving. The $10 tasting gets you pretty sauced, and its a nice short walk to and from the Ferry...which also has a bar.
Make sure you try the single malt whiskey. It is well worth it.
Great tastings. Heads up, groups of 5 or more people need to make a reservation.
Try a private cocktail tasting in the Pilot's Lounge. Bring food, and enjoy the quality drinks with your closest friends (10-20 ppl accepted)
Don't miss the tour. She's a bit of a dominatrix, but keeps it clean and entertaining. The absinthe is truly special. Also try the seasonals like Spiced Pear.
If you get a chance to go to the open house, don't pass it up! Good food, great drinks, awesome people - fun all round!
Taste then tour! Or maybe the other way around.
Best tasting I've ever experienced.
