The tall blonde barmaid doesn't want to serve anyone other than a regular. Makes eye contact only to purposefully ignore you. Lucky the bald Irish barman is friendly!
Good service - ordered a Guinness and the keg kicked so it took a bit to get my beer, which was totally understandable but they ended up giving it me on the house which was awesome of them
Yummy food & great service.
Nachos so good!
A good pub for hanging with close friends. They have a Thanksgiving Day Parade menu and deal!
I don't remember the last time I had Shepherds Pie, nothing like Irish meal on cold football night!! Talking about food!
Don't be thrown off by the prices, buy-backs happen often. The high prices are there to keep the gin mill crowd away.
If your lived in a sitcom, this would be the bar you and your friends made episodes.
The kind of homey, welcoming neighborhood bar that every New Yorker dreams of having on their corner.
they've been great music the whole night.
Good bar, good food.
Ekkkkk took over 2 hours to get food.weirdest dinning experience ever.
Worst place ever! Bad service and unbelievably slow! Asked for water five times and it never came!!!
Slowest service ever
St. James Gate has the BEST Cobb Salald in New York City. Well worth ordering. I thought nothing could beat Hair of the Dog's Cobb Salad, but thank the heavens I stumbled upon this pot of gold!
Smithwick's on tap!
Authentic. That's all you need to say about The Gate. Food is unexpectedly tremendous. All the Irish favorites delivered with the ingredients and service you would hope for. Staff is the best. #LOVE
these guys know how to cook a burger
Great spot for St Patricks Day! As Irish as you can get! Drunk and green ;) wait they dont have green beer though!
They pour a mean Guinness!
Full Irish Breakfast and a bloody Mary is an amazing hangover cure.
Try the Shepard's Pie.
Don't believe the hype the fish & chips are sub par and the service blows
Still the best bar in the UWS. Go St. James Go!
The Irish breakfast will totally raise your mood score. Pair it with a bloody to improve your ripped score.
Shepherds pie is BANGING!!
come here to cure your hangover
Have a Guiness, wings and some curry fries- delish!
The service is great! A waitress was helping the patrons in the bar area get drinks when the bar was crowded.
The boneless buffalo wings are the best
Staff is not so good...but the seating arrange is awsome u could defenently have fun here if you come with freinds....
Best pub in the city! Great drinks, great staff (heart you Paul and Kevin) and great music. P.s. Order the fries - you won't be disappointed.
Hmmmmm think it's a miss.
The best fish'n'chips I've ever had the pleasure to know. $18 is expensive for bar food, but worth trying.
Best bar in NYC! Nicest bartenders and GREAT service all around! Guinness is amazing and food is really good too
Best nachos @ an Irish pub
The least douchiest bar in the neighborhood.
The fries are great but the beer is a bit overpriced.
Watch a game here, the booze are more expensive but it's douchebag free! Well worth the price :)
A place where the bartender actually buys you a drink once in a while. Great Pub on the upper west side
Great place to have a drink and some food.
For being the best Guinness pour out here in NYC. Great fries & awesome ownership.
Order the fish and chips!
For getting me hooked on Colman's Mustard, I love you.
They have the best pancakes ever. If you can find better pancakes anywhere in this city, let me know. Plus, they pull a perfect pour.
