Sadly, this place HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR YEARS - they lost their liquor license, needed to get up to code with other issues. It will probably never re-open, which stinks.
The greatest Saturday midnight set of Abaduli's West African Band. Hit it up every Sat. late night & dance wildly into the night. The dancing was magical & the vibe was across the board. LOVED IT!!
Closed for the moment
Certified cool since 1935, this spot is popular not just for its history but the amazing live performers. Pull up to the bar and order Sugar Hill, a local brew.
Get to this historic jazz joint early to secure a table and enjoy live jazz 7 days a week. The music and diverse crowd far outshine the shabby décor.
It was cool!!!...Music was good!!!...Nice people!!!...Mellow atmosphere!!!
Been in existence since 1935; however it was not always called by its now famous name. From ’35 to ’40 it was known as the Poosepahtuck Night Club before becoming known as the “Lucky’s Rendezvous.”
Great jam sessions on Monday, and great live music any and every other night
Get a Sugar Hill: great, local Harlem beer. Awesome.
The saxophonist on sat nights is worth hearing. Hideya " Bonz" Satoh is the musician that you should make a point 2 hear! Every Saturday building!
Very unique bar - some of the best Jazz musicians I've heard and ALL kinds of people crowded together inside...they even have people making art and food for sale depending on the night
Try to hang around for the second band (11-ish) -- they are definitely worth it and often much better than the first act. Great spot for some real music and a great local Harlem feel.
Sundays are a good night to come, you get a decent mix of the regulars, visitors and whatever is in between...
I will be there this Sunday, March 7th.
Go to this place for some amazing Jazz/Blues and a true taste of Harlem. Worth the trek and even better than The Lenox Lounge.
i don't go to St. Nick's often, but when I do - it's because Venus Adore is singing. this is a harlem local classic
Historical jazz spot. Tiny . .I mean cozy . .I mean intimate :) Got to St. Nick's Pub on Saturday night if you like African jazz.
tight place, go early. dance.
