Don't just rely on the ticket, as some of these ppl would rather chat making an assumption that you have less than an emergency. In the A&E. At 6am. (No you are right; we are just hanging out.) Crazy.

The staff here saved my life, I was dead from a heart attack. They have been wonderful, helpful people who do all the nasty things that no one else wants to do, for poor pay. I <3 this place & people.

Coming by car? Use the car park on nearby Upper Marsh, se1. Less than half the price of the hospital CP and right across the road.

Had a kid? Feeling zonked? Your ward full of people shouting? Been up for hours? Ring up the Lansdell Suite and see if they have space. It's money you'll never regret spending. Sleep! (for Dad's too)

You might recognise St. Thomas's Hospital as one of the opening locations in '28 Days Later' - Jim leaves the hospital to find the London streets strangely empty...

The Hospital is in a way stylish, with a concert piano in the hall, hairdresser, shops... pleasant stuff, but most of all a nice passport language school facility. I stayed there in 2000 though :)

St.Thomas’s moved here from Southwark in 1871. Florence Nightingale’s School of Nursing, the first of its kind in the world, was established at the old St.Thomas’s in 1860.
