For Uber rides it is best to meet on the taxi side (New Haven side).

The Amtrak ticket counter is behind the Dunkin Donuts. There are no red caps here so have a friend who can help you get into the train if you need assistance.

Not much good here. Delays, bad food, lots of people who think Vineyard Vines is high fashion. Take the train to Grand Central, and then go to Brooklyn.
You better buy ur tickets in advance! Few side machines and it is almost the double of the regular price in the train.

One of the ticket machines take RFID credit/debit cards. Kinda cool. Finally.
The trains to Grand Central arriving on Track 5 board on both sides. Look for the Express trains...two stops and your home. They are older trains but you are on them for a shorter time.
Don't fall asleep past your stop on the express trains or you will end up in Canada. (Just kidding but close enough)

Trains often change tracks seconds before arrival. Ye have been warned.
The walkway from the parking lot into the train station is on lvl 4
There is only one person at a time that works at subway so save yourself a good 15 min if you want anything
Java Joe's has great coffee and fresh food. Support the business and stop there for your morning kick in the pants.
Always faster to get to the tracks from below than going upstairs to the station.

Tip: when fixing the escalators in the up direction turn the escalator in the down direction OFF. All working escalators are in the down direction. Doesn't help when I want to go UP

Nothing has changed despite encouragement that there will be more trains by years' end. Off peak trains from Stamford are still running 5-10 minutes late. It's baffling.
Ladies: be prepared, there are NO hooks on the doors in the restroom and barely enough space to shut the door if you have luggage. If you're traveling with a friend, ask them to hold your bags.

Get here early so you can be on time to hear the announcement that your train is delayed.
Try to catch 1 of these cars, much better than the traditional 1's.. Also, don't wait until you're on the train to buy your ticket! It'll cost you 2 times as much as buying it at the station!

Go downstairs from the track to go under the tracks to get to the shuttle buses. Don't go up, over and down.
