When Standard Tap opened its doors in December 1999, our goal was simple: to create a neighborhood tavern that featured great beer and wholesome food. With that in mind, we offer a draft-only beer selection that highlights the vast array of styles crafted by breweries located in ...
Exotic food and delicious beer, a local landmark
Have brunch upstairs with Ian and the fireplace.
If you don't get pedestrians - you ain't nothing.
Quiet on Mondays, nice so I can enjoy the chicken pot pie!
One of the most underrated brunches in the city.
Delicious food and nice selection of craft beers
Pork sandwich is a must try. Selection of rotating taps never disappoints.
The food is always good here. I've been here several times over the years and I have had nothing but good times.
The puff pastry on the chicken pie is great and it's very meaty. But missing the gooeyness of a pot pie.
A short walk from the Spring Garden Station on SEPTA's Market-Frankford line.
Double standard burger with mushrooms... Very good. Pair it with a beer flight (4x for $10) and enjoy the airy outdoor roof deck patio space
Awesome beer options and plenty of local brewers on the list.
A gastropub featuring only locally produced draft beers.

Great whisky selection.
Best burgers in philly. Grilled octopus is delicious. Stewed oxtail is shockingly good.
They now take reservations for the upstairs dining room. Highly recommended on the weekends!!
Good food. Great beer selection
They have an upstairs with outdoor seating. Wish I would've known that on a perfect day like today!
Apparently there's a nice bartender for Sunday Brunch.
A pioneering beer bar in Philly's Northern Liberties neighborhood, the Tap features a large, constantly rotating draft list of local beers, plus an popular and accessible chalkboard menu.
Food is delish! Staff members are not friendly (neither are their friends sitting at the bar) Which leads me to believe they want to keep it just for themselves and their friends. Prob won't go back.
Bone-In Pork Chop Sandwich
The city is dead Memorial Day weekend.
All the beer was local, didn't have exactly what I wanted in that department but the Chicken Pie was stellar - highly recommended.
Almost everything I have is amazing. Their pork chop and eggs are my favorite for brunch. Love their fried clams, BLTs. Pretty much everything. My all time favorite!
Standard Tap has the finest Micro-Brew beers I have tasted in Philly. The food is excellent and so is the atmosphere. menus are on chalkboards.
Go on the early side—before seven—to grab one of the mondo wooden booths that comfortably fit six.
"Staunch supporter of local beer, and the place I take out-of-towners."
The bartenders are dicks. Don't try to have fun. If you want to bring friends then this is NOT the bar for you. Boo this bar.
They have the whole zoo on the menu
Maxx and James
The original Northern Liberties gastropub. Steampunk decor throughout a big old house. Multiple dining rooms. Great for brunch on the upstairs patio. Beer for days. Always an interesting menu.
NEVER get the Round Guy IPA. It tastes like bitter soy sauce.
There isn't standard about this tap list - it's always sure to score some rare beers to cross of your wishlist. Brunch is great too!
worst dining experience EVER! if you have any self respect don't go for the crab cake sandwich, definitely the worst thing I've ever eaten...rude waitress, awful sandwich, and tight seating.
The best dishes are their softshell crab sandwich, duck salad, and the Standard Burger. All of the beers are draft only, and their Bloody Mary's are some of the best in town. [Eater 38 Member]
Get a Rustica cocktail! Fresh squeezed grapefruit, Penn Vodka and a splash of Compari.
Awesome French toast (I like my stuff on the side), bacon avocado sandwich, and chicken pie are all awesome! Serving local brew to the local crew. Sweet!
Hours: 4 pm - 2 am
Upstairs all day. I have been here a few times and the vibe downstairs is cold while upstairs and warm and the bartender is much more friendly.
Must try the raw oysters.
Awesome beer but avoid food during busy hours. Slllllloooooooooow.
The burgers are surprisingly good. Get everything on it.
troegs hop back on the hand pump!
