When Standard Tap opened its doors in December 1999, our goal was simple: to create a neighborhood tavern that featured great beer and wholesome food. With that in mind, we offer a draft-only beer selection that highlights the vast array of styles crafted by breweries located in ...
Every Wednesday, bartenders tap a local firkin at 6:00 p.m. as a complement to their beer-inspired food.
Go to Standard Tap for great beers and "gastropub" food (e.g. - gourmet pub food).
As good for draft beers on Saturday night as it is for brunch on Sunday morning. If they put out cots, some of us would just live here on the weekends.
How do you keep up with a menu that changes daily? Check out the Tap’s Facebook page for daily photos of the chalkboards.
The steak frites will make your belly happy. The beer list will make your heart sing!
The chalkboard omelet specials can chase any hangover away, though a pint of local microbrewed beer won't hurt, either.
Get the hand-drawn ales. Great bar for local beers on tap.
One of Philadelphia's most beloved pubs. The locals rave about beer lists, duck salad and outdoor seating in the summer.
The burger is legit, beer selection is always new, its a must stop place for beer lovers.
Amazing food, great beer. Perfect night out.
There isn't standard about this tap list - it's always sure to score some rare beers to cross of your wishlist. Brunch is great too!
Even with drafty old windows the upstairs fireplace will keep you warm.
Eat food. Doesn't matter what, just eat food.
Awesome beers, great local scene, really good food. The deck is nice, if you can get a spot.
good music, great social scene and amazing food
A pioneering beer bar in Philly's Northern Liberties neighborhood, the Tap features a large, constantly rotating draft list of local beers, plus an popular and accessible chalkboard menu.
The bartenders are dicks. Don't try to have fun. If you want to bring friends then this is NOT the bar for you. Boo this bar.
The corn fritters are perfection! The sauce it comes with is fantastic, and just at $5, it's a perfect small bite.
Get the mussels! Also, I believe the burgers are the BEST in Philly!
Get a Rustica cocktail! Fresh squeezed grapefruit, Penn Vodka and a splash of Compari.
Try the Sunday Brunch - The Best'
Standard Burger, Chicken Pie and Duck Salad....oh and Beer of course!
Wednesday firkins for real ale lovers. Tapped at 6pm!!!
A well-known local bar with fantastic roast chicken and mussels.
They have a great beer selection. The chicken pie is the best tho!
Delicious food and nice selection of craft beers
They now take reservations for the upstairs dining room. Highly recommended on the weekends!!
Try the Bulliet Manhattan - Beck Bar Tuesday night .
Really good bloody marys!
Get the fries. Just do it. Damn, these are good.
Plain (burger) & Fancy (rabbit!) pub-grub and more kinds of beer than you can shake a stick at. Beer lover's cloud nine.
Go to the Standard Tap and get some rabbit. Pair it with the Manayunk A.P.A., it's delicious.
Good food. Great beer selection
Almost everything I have is amazing. Their pork chop and eggs are my favorite for brunch. Love their fried clams, BLTs. Pretty much everything. My all time favorite!
"Staunch supporter of local beer, and the place I take out-of-towners."
They have the whole zoo on the menu
worst dining experience EVER! if you have any self respect don't go for the crab cake sandwich, definitely the worst thing I've ever eaten...rude waitress, awful sandwich, and tight seating.
The best dishes are their softshell crab sandwich, duck salad, and the Standard Burger. All of the beers are draft only, and their Bloody Mary's are some of the best in town. [Eater 38 Member]
Best Bloody Mary's
The Steak & Fries is amazing
So FYI you can't smoke on the roof... Just thought I'd help out the servers so they can spend more time being nice/helping guests than policing the smokers... Ice cream sunday melted.. #epicfail
This place is freezing! Try the chicken pot pie with a local beer.
One of the worst veg burgers I've ever had. $11 :-(
Get the Bratwurst & Kraut. You won't regret it.
