Beautiful museum, entrance is 110dkk (85dkk if you're under 30) closed on Mondays! Remember to pick up a map, so you don't get lost. A must to visit while in Copenhagen.

Incredible art here-best of all, from lesser known, albeit influential Danish and German artists.
  • Maya S.
I recommend allotting at least 2-3 hours for this incredible collection

If you're short on time/money, skip the paid exhibition. The permanent collection has a great enough collection for a half day

Each section has a map with a guided chronological tour with highlights. It's in a stand outside each section but in Danish; ask at information for English.

Museum for Art. Great location, close other touristic attractions and lakes. There is always exhibit or concert. The garden behind is great for picnic in the good weather. Easily accesible by bus.

We had a great time with the kids here. The kids workshop is 45 DKK and we spent a good four hours painting and crafting. The staff speaks English, German and apparently also Danish.
