Home to Space Shuttle Discovery! The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is the companion facility to the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. Together, they display the largest collection of air & space artifacts in the world.
Not as nice as Seattle's Museum of Flight, but it does have a space shuttle
Great place for family and children.
Great place to visit even if the museum store's prices are outrageous.
Amazing displays and a sweet IMAX theater to watch Star Wars
Discovery Space Shuttle and Blackbird were awesome!
Why you're here: SR-71 Blackbird & Space Shuttle Discovery. These titans are in line with the entrance so you'll find them first. Stick around and the other, less famous craft will reward you as well.
So awesome. Concorde, SR71, Space Shuttle and more under one roof.
The flight simulator is awesome but it's some much more fun if ur the pilot instaed of the shooter
The super cool stuff is in the space part of the museum. I went here a long time ago.
Largely a great museum. The huge exception is the Enola Gay exhibit, the plane used to drop the A bomb, which still refuses to discuss whether it was right to do so. Go after 4PM for free parking.
This is the companion museum to the National Air and Space Museum on the Mall. Come here to see the space shuttle Discovery and the Enola Gay
This place is incredible! Make sure to go on the $8 interactive simulator!
Absolutely mind-blowing. Hands down best museum I've ever visited.
Models, space ice cream, lots to see
Went to watch Jurassic World in IMAX but before the movie toured around the museum. It's so cool to see all the planes and space craft they have on display.. And it's FREE!
If crunched for time, skip the observation deck and go marvel at all the planes and, of course, the shuttle. Staff is knowledgable and friendly! They helped me locate my Uncle's plane.
Fun and informative. A mind-blowing collection of aircraft and memorabilia.Highly recommended!
Come here early to get your IMAX tickets and get good lighting for photos. Also, Dulles airport is nearby so it's a good place to plane spot as well.
Free guided tours throughout the day! Totally worth visiting!
Such a cool experience
What an amazing experience
Very cool museum and knowledge & friendly staff. But McDonald's? As an educational institution geared towards children, I find this incredibly irresponsible. Especially as no outside food is allowed
One of the coolest places out there, especially to see the shuttle
Amazing museum, wear comfy shoes cause you'll be walking a lot. Wish there was food other than mcdonalds.
The IMAX movies are amazing
This is hands down one of the very best museums in the country. The sheer size and scope of the exhibits is amazing. Great for kids, aside from McDonald's being the only food choice...
After 4pm parking is free, before 14.00 U$
Really cool supplement to the one in DC but with a much larger display of planes from all eras. Also after 4pm parking is free!
Discovery is awesome
Better than the downtown museum if you all me. Not crowded lots of parking ($15). Digital IMAX Theater. Space shuttle very cool. Observation deck where you can watch Dulles Airport traffic.
$15 parking zing!
Must watch Fighter Pilot on IMAX, fantastic point of view shots of air combat training
Worth the price. FREE.
A must visit....
Worth the walk around!
Its a huge hangar with a lot of air and space history. Very impressive. Enola Gay and the Discovery shuttle are the best pieces
Everything. Do the tour, worth it. IMAX Hubble movie was fantastic.
Parking is free after 4pm!
Don't miss the Concorde! :)
If you're looking for hands-on exhibits for your kids stick with the museum in DC.
Be sure to visit the control tower. Great view!
Great museum to visit, close to Dulles airport. Space shuttle Discovery, SR-71, Enola Gay, etc. Shuttle to/from IAD airport (door 2E) every 45 min. $2 RT fare. They even have lockers for your luggage.
Just awesome an incredible place worth the whole DC visit
The best museum in the world
