Stoke is nowhere near as rubbish as the people whining in tips about the station would have you believe. I promise there are worse stations & cities - I've visited a few of them!
Nice quiet waiting room towards the front end of Platform 1.
A nightmare to pick people up, not enough waiting space
'Gourmet' Cafe on Platform 1 is genuinely not bad, for a railway station cafe.
If you're hungry, free food in 1st class.
If your hungry, Subway is just across the road.
Just discovered they have a 1st Class Lounge at the end of Platform 1
Bring a coat! It's open plan and bloody windy, you'll freeze without one!
Scrap that. AVOID PUMPKIN CAFE. It doesn't acknowledge Bite Cards anymore.
Freezing cold. Cafe is slow and pricey - go to Subway across the road for food. Area around the station is a dump, don't bother looking for any other way to pass the time.
Gourmet Coffee on Platform 1 is a lot better than the dingy place near the entrance.
Get off here and enjoy a lovely day in the home of Anti-Football.
You don't even need to spend a penny to 'spend a penny' - kudos!
Ladies, gents, and accessible toilets available on both platforms 1 & 2
Not many trains here. False advertising. Oh poo, holding the phone up to take a picture makes me look like a train spotter now....
A single coach-cum-whole-train. This ain't a train. And it's bloody full. East Mids train fail.
Listen out for the guy who makes the *CLUCK* noise after every announcement. He's a tannoy legend.
take lifts to go to the platform 2
Ladis toilet is near the coffee shop~
Colder than Siberia .....fact
Station looks old. No desire to get off
Fast Ticket machines on Platform 2 should there be a que in the station
1st class tickets are sometimes MUCH cheaper than standard class.
It's always amusing when newcomers use this station and have no idea how to get to Platform 2!
For a cheaper cup of java than you get at the pumpkin cafe, go across the road to Subway.
Don't forget to use your bite card in pumpkin - save 20% off :)
Nicest train station toilets ever
Get on the train, and don't come back. How's that for a tip?
Come visit the Pumpkin cart on platform two. Hot drinks wonderful service from moi and no queues. Happy days.
Buy a hot drink in the café and you can get a bacon roll for £1! Also, if the staff are checking tickets on platform 2, just hop in the lift to platform 1 and walk out of the café!
Now has refreshment available on platform2
Stoke isn't as bad as I expected.
The Ladies toilets are on one platform and the Gents on the other, via a subway. Very odd!
The station is weird, it looks like afn old factory. :-)
The Pumpkin Cafe is too expensive.
Lovely place. Honest.
Get on a train and get as far away from Stoke as humanly possible!!!
On stoke city home match days, enter the station via the taxi rank to avoid the busy 'ticket barrier'
i like trains
Get on a train and leave stoke, its your only hope!
nick WiFi from 1st class by sitting right against the right wall in the standard class waiting room, platform 1!
If you've just arrived why not take a trip into Stoke Town (turn right outside station and right again under bridge) and visit SHOP (shop-stoke) for fun creative things!
Buy a meal deal in the Pumpkin shop then use a bitecard.co.uk to get 20% off it!
The Pumpkin Cafe has the widest selection of books and magazines for people who can't actually read
Wrap up warm, its freezing here!
First Class lounge has free wi-fi. If you're travelling 2nd class you can probably get a connection by standing outside.
Wear a jumper... its pretty open in the station and not too warm.
The first class at Stoke station isn't too bad, no icy facilities but there is a fax machine m lots of free stuff to take away with you
