Welcome to Stone Mountain Park, where it's always one adventure-and one memory-after another.
If you take the shuttle to the laser show, make sure you are in the right line coming back. You may end up waiting for the Evergreen shuttle and end up right in the back of the campground line. :-(
AVOID spot 357. Nowhere to set up outside. Surrounded by ditches. Picnic table in ditch & no camfire ring. This place is fairly expensive. I felt cheated. Some of the spots looked ideal, not ours.
Purple lot is totally worth it. Full hookups, level lots, your own deck with large gas grill, close to the playground and shuttle and store.
The showers in the restroom are terrible. The shower heads are way up in the air. Taking a shower is not fun at Stone Mountain. The campsites are nice.
Beautiful and clean campground, but the sites are VERY uneven. The owners provide leveling blocks though.
Most spots are very uneven. Also, the wifi is just terrible. This place isn't bike friendly at all.
Great campsite. Camped in January so it was 19 degrees on a lake with wind. Great views, and scenery.
The candy kitchen at Stone Mountain Park is my favorite place to go
In the "Now You Tell Me" category, don't buy your firewood here. It is wet & unseasoned
When checking in park in front of the pavilion
Fires get hot, don't play with fire
Bring your own firewood!
