People tend to check in during these times:
Head to the Shed Brewery for dinner and try the "Ski Sled" beer sampler. It's served in a wooden ski!
Ski Mansfield early to get the best runs, then over to Spruce Peak to catch some rays in the afternoon!
Shred the gnar then hit the bar! Nawmsayin?!
Stowe has 80 more trails than the average US ski resort: http://ski-resorts.findthebest.com/l/128/Stowe-Mountain-Resort
Get off your phone!
Call: 802-253-3600 and listen to the Snow Phone report for conditions!
Do a barrel roll.
Don’t overlook the Lookout liftline if you like rowdy, double fall line terrain. It’s a classic that doesn’t get the traffic of its famous Front Four neighbors. Well worth the traverse from National.
18 for patron shots ouch
BEAST OF THE EAST
Stowe's great. Resort is great. The spruce camp bar is horrible. Bad food. Bad drinks. Bad service. Also try to learn Portuguese, because no one here speaks English.
Bring ramen and use the hot water they've got for making tea in the lodge. Instant lunch for about 30 cents.
purchase a 4 day adult, junior, or senior lift ticket for the price of three when you use your AMEX card. 116 trails, 13 lifts, and the inter-mountain gondola allows you access to other runs.
Considered to be the best skiing east of the Rocky Mountains, Stowe is home to the highest mountain in Vermont. Located in New England, its snow is less ‘icy’ than nearby northeastern mountains.
Outdoor pool, jacuzzis and firepit are roaring all year.
beautiful skiing on the tallest mountain in VT. but the food is bad and overpriced.
Octagon has awesome seared tuna salad!!
The Toll Road is one of the most scenic, enjoyable cruisers ever. Just stunning views. Head to the bar in Lodge instead of the Base Camp to warm up w a toddy. Lodge is much prettier and posh.
Take advantage of the Den in the old Mansfield base lodge before they replace it!!
Mercedes-Benz owners checking into Stowe Mountain Resort may request a complimentary $100 amenity credit, room upgrade (based on availability) and welcome amenity.
Take a ski pr snowboard lesson. You know you want to...
Fantastic ski in & ski out resort...great for family. Bring your kids. Go on with your bad self. Have them ski down "inspiration" and let the tears of joy flow out of your eyes.
Great instructors, worth taking a lesson. Some really nice blues to ride- perfect for a group w mixed levels of experience.
"IT'S A POWDER DAY AT STOWE!" :) Greatest thing to hear when you call the Stowe Phone!!
Nice hotel except restaurants, Ski is great, nice slopes. just put your gear in the hotel and go skiing, the hotel has a valet service for your skis and shoes.
Honestly, this place doesn't feel like a ski lodge as much as it does an over-sized lobby of a super swank hotel. Some of the best New England skiing, lifts, and gondolas!
Make sure to take a dip in the heated outdoor pool
Park at spruce and enjoy luxury of basecamp lodge. Take the over easy lift right to Gondi or quad. Forget about baselodge.
The rustic elegance of Stowe Mountain Lodge is stunning.
Dress warm, it's super cold on the mountains. The gondola lift is cool!
Great skiing and awesome lifts.
Beautiful hotel and the best guest services I have ever experienced at any hotel.
Beautiful views, great skiing, and a very attentive staff!
Chicken cheesesteak is out of this world.
Spruce lodge wicked expensive for food and can never get a seat. Old Mansfield lodge much cozier and affordable. Great skiing obviously. Online pass renewal gr8.
The best apres ski is at The Den or at Matterhorn : )
Entire staff was very friendly!
Get Becky to give you a massage at the Spa! She is the best!!
Best tree skiing in the east! Know where to look and don't ski alone. Be safe, friends!
Head up to the Cliff House at the Summit and grab a mid-ski Hot Cocoa and maybe a beer.
$5 FOR A COFFEE!?!
Brutal lift ticket buying experience, slow due to the need to track all your personal info plus an EXTRA $5 for lift card. Bush league
Ski Goat and Starr, two of the premier challenging (and really fun!) runs in the east.
If there's a line at the Spruce Camp ticket window, you can also buy tix at the Adventure Center right next door. No lines and super friendly staff!
Fourrunner quad has great trails!
Watch out: Gaper City!
