If they had bagels like these at home. I'd eat more bagels! Also, pairs well with the lattes next door at Cafe Myriad.

Get their specialty sesame bagel. The sesame seeds will go everywhere but it's worth it!

Less types of bagels than the Fairmount Bagels but seems fresher and more substantial. Also has more cream cheese options. Definitely try the tout garni bagels and matzoh.

Montreal bagel powerhouse, go there just to watch the guy cascade 20 fresh bagels into the air, New York bagels are still better though

Preferred this over fairmount. Sesame came out warm (both places) and delicious. Rosemary was interesting. Nice and small.

Come here for freshly warm bagels. Grab a plastic knife and invest in some cream cheese. Sit at the nearest bunch. Smell. Bite. Sigh. Death by bagel.

I went to Fairmount in the morning and my gf and I thought it didn't taste like anything special since it wasn't fresh at all. Went to La Viateur and hands down the best bagel I have had in life!

Make sure you ask them what's fresh out the oven and grab that. No point in eating anything else.

The sweet dry bagels are a treat - crisp with just the right amount of sweetness. If going for the regular bagels, try the Rosemary.

Protip: These babies freeze well for reconstituting later in a toaster, but the process is way easier if you slice them in half before freezing.

No one is mentioning that this is a do-it-yourself shop. Maybe I'm a spoiled NYer but I found this lame. You have to buy the toppings individually and put them on yourself, like a grocery store.

You must order a sesame bagel -- it is their specialty. Deliciously delicate. Eat fresh out of the oven (no toasting necessary!) with cream cheese, preferably on a sunny day in the park.
