Eat at Doyles! I loved the tempura prawns bit the salt and pepper squid did not reach my expectations. It was average to me. You'll get sweet chili and tartar sauce for free as well.

You can have the famous Doyle's fish n chips without paying double the price at fine dining! Of course it's not really table service and it's a very casual setting

Always packed with tourists and locals. Obviously the best place to buy seafood in Sydney but there are plenty of restaurants that cook the fresh seafood.

    Elliot Chance · May 26

Do: Raw oysters and sashimiDon't: Fried platters of any type.Really don't: overpriced lobsters that are stuffed with crappy cheese and potatoes.

Skip the prepackaged sashimi and go for the slab of fish- they'll cut it into bite sized pieces for you! ~$12 for 250g's of salmon sashimi.

Don't forget to pay for your parking fees before you leave the market. The exit gate does not allow payment.

  • Thenomadonroad

Weekends and public holiday can be chaotic for parking seekers. Try not to stay on the first 2 rows near Claudio. Go to the sites near the bridges as you tend to get more chance of parking space.

    Thenomadonroad · December 19, 2014

Always crowded, no matter what the day is. Good for fresh oysters though.

Overpriced seafood.Come here for the experience and that's it.Freshly shucked oysters r the only ones worth the $$. Grilled/ cooked stuff r generally blah.Better to buy em raw n cook yourself at home.

  • Esth3r K

Very fresh seafood. Sashimi, oyster and prawns. Just be very careful when you are carrying food to the outdoor seating area. Make sure food is covered as the seagulls will dive in and attack you.
