If planning on watching fireworks on NYE, make sure to be there early.
The Harbour Bridge is a must see place when you are in Sydney. And it's completely free to walk across.
Walk from Circular Quay (elevator to Cahill Walkway) all the way to the middle of the bridge with your loved one and add a padlock with your names to the fence, throw the key in the water.
Did the bridge climb (finally) when my canadian friend came over and I had an awesome time... only thing is the price, it cost us $300 each! its ridiculous really - its a beautiful view though!
Even if you are not going to climb it, you owe it to yourself to walk across the bridge and get a great view of Sydney and the Opera House.

Watch out for angry runners.
Climb the Pylon - much cheaper than Bridgeclimb and stunning views

Our beautiful Sydney Harbour Bridge. World Icon for our amazing city & greatest attraction. Looks wicked on New Years Eve with all the fireworks.
Tested unscrewing the bolts on each side; bridge is definitely secure.
Look west and you'll get some great views of the sun setting...
If you're on the train or bus, lift your head up, out of your smartphone/ipad and take a look. It's quite spectacular.
Breathtaking view during the nights. An Ideal place for couples !!!
Walk over the bridge (away from downtown) and then go to Luna Park. Walk under the bridge for a great view of the back of the Opera House
Don't jump off. I know it's tempting...
Running/walking only on one side of the bridge.
From November 2012 to February 2013, I spent a fair bit of time in Sydney. I walked the Harbor Bridge everyday! Never got tired of the view. Don't take it for granted!
