Some of the freshest, most delicious food near City Hall. Try the homemade tofu or tuna tataki salads, Midori juice and one of the unusual macarons - like goma or matcha.

Nice gem in the neighborhood, Japanese specialty pastry breads. Good service and a small seating area for a quick stop and go. Also has green tea and sesame ice cream.

Pastries look great, but taste far from perfect. Truffle cake is quite dry, while matcha which is a kind of specialty here doesn't really fit creme brulee or pancakes. If you're not Japanese,of course

It's easy to go for the sweets but don't overlook the sandwiches. The fried oyster roll with spicy mayo (Japanese take on po' boys) is a steal at $4.95.
