Tampa's Lowry Park is a perfect place which suits for a family tour, especially for fostering love of kids. The park separates into African, Asian and Ocean area, a wide range of animals live there.

Must-see zoo! Feed lettuce to giraffes and also check out Lorikeet Landing to see and feed beautiful birds. 15-minute drive from USF makes it ideal for day trips during family visits.

The bird shows are great. Food is reasonably priced. The dingo and chimp looked a little stressed. Zach on the African safari tour was the highlight. He needs his own radio show!

I was pleasantly suprised to find that this zoo has free rides, a spray park area for kids and, most important, the animals appeared well cared for in nice habitats.

The animals that I love to find at The Lowry Park Zoo are the Penguins. They are hidden on the way to the Safari area and are so cute and funny.

Don't Miss: Hand-feed young stingrays in the stingray nursery, be amazed by incredible views of manatees from beneath their tanks, and observe the world-class facilities of a manatee hospital.

Arrive when zoo opens (930am). Great to see the animals first thing and enjoy the park before crowds pile in. Happy, healthy animals. Not overwhelming. Clean. One of our favorite spots!

Go to Lowry Park Zoo and feed the giraffes in the Safari Africa exhibit. It was so much fun standing eye to eye with the giraffes and feeding them crackers. I will definitely be going back again!

Buy the family pass, and you will not feel obligated to stay the entire day. Sometimes we stay for 20 minutes or enough time for two pony rides.

The zoo boo really was a waste of time. For 17 dollars you get a really dark zoo where all the animals are asleep, no trick or treating, and all the rides are just renamed to act like Halloween.
