Like chunky, thick cuts of meat over your nachos? Then this is the place to go. The sliced avocado and jalapeños are also plentiful. Prepare to gorge on the toppings and the thicker than normal chips. Read more

Simple put, El Farolito makes the best damn burrito in the entire world as far as I'm concerned. That crumbled chorizo was seriously unbelievable. Read all about it on WinstonWanders below!! Read more

El Farolito stays steamy until 1:30 a.m. in the Excelsior, 2 a.m. on 24th Street, and 3:30 a.m. by 24th and Mission BART, for those nights when only a burrito will save you from the approaching dawn. Read more

The carnitas taco is a great place to start here, but this is a great place to break out into some of the more adventures options. Round out your taco trio with something you've always wanted to try. Read more

The quesadilla super suiza was so good! Get the full experience by dining in or decide to take it to go. Either way your food is going to be authentic and delicious. Hit up the salsa bar too!

Carne asada Super Burrito, best I've ever had. Crispy carne asada tacos (- sour cream), amazing. Endless green salsa, yes. Urine smell at the front door, ehh I could do without. Cheap! Delicious! Done

  • Dana J.
The burrito had some ingredient-distribution issues, but holy hell were the good bites good. Got the al pastor super burrito. It's a good choice. Chips were really stale but salsa/sauce was fantastic.
    Dana Jensen · December 16, 2014
  • Luke B.
Al pastor is the way to go (so good!). Also, ask them to grill your tortilla slightly longer for extra crispy deliciousness. Chips are mediocre, but the salsas are delicious, especially the green one.
    Luke Bornheimer · June 12, 2013
  • Martin A.
Definitely try their Super Burrito with carne asada. With each bite you take you're able to taste the char and spices in the meat. Probably one of the best spots for genuine Mexican food.

Decent late night burritos, for northern California. Seriously, growing up in San Diego, almost any hole in the wall there beats the most ridiculously touted here. I'm evil for saying so? Fine.

A visit to the Mission is not complete until I’ve gotten a burrito or a quesadilla with a side of chips from my favorite burrito joint. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent prices. Read more

Have had a burrito here twice and highly recommend this as a destination for other out of towners like me. The setting isn't much to look at but the line is akways out the door.

Super carne asada burrito, quesdilla super suiza, and get a side of the awesome el pastor meat! You can eat it with the free tortilla chips, green sauce and salsa.

I grew up in Arizona and this is one of the best burritos I've ever had. Carne Asada super burrito. Warning though this place gets packed and tough to get a table.
    Tate Williams · November 10, 2014
  • Gabriel S.
This is the best spot for a "traditional" burrito in SF, hands-down. 7x7 lists their Carne Asada burrito as a must-eat of 2012, but you really can't go wrong.
    Gabriel Suits · November 19, 2012

You get some real assholes coming into this place, but the guys working there aren't fazed in the least. Know what you want when you get to the cashier and don't waste anyone's time--they're busy.

The Super Suiza Para Dos is amazing drunk food; A quesadilla out of two XL tortillas, meat, cheese, sour cream, steak, avocado, salsa -- really big enough for three people!

Food blogger Stephanie Stiavetti says, “Their food is incredible and... they’re open until almost 3 a.m.! Fresh avocados and a ton of shredded cheese on every super burrito? Yes, please.”

Wow, this is definitely the best Mexican place I've been in my life so far. If there are 2 of you looking for some food - take this insanely good quesadilla para dos <3

As mayor, I order everyone who goes here to get the super quesadilla suiza with carne asada and everything on it. As it has just been stated, so shall it be done.

Get the carne asada super burrito. So delicious. Add a Pacifico beer and you have the perfect meal. They are huge!!

They should really consider serving 1/2 portion or kid's size. I was good after 1/3 of my burrito and forced myself down 1/2 of it...

Be prepared to take out the half of the burrito you couldn't finish. If you're not a hungry monster at the moment, you can consider sharing one with a friend.

The cabeza/lengua tacos I had were actually way better than the carne asada burrito, though that was good too. Those tacos were so good, I might cry.

Late night burritos etc, so delicious! Especially on your way home from the bar. If it's before 2am order a Pacifico to drink while you wait!

The most amazing carnitas super nacho I have ever eaten. Almost took my bf and I out. *HUGE* and plenty of everything. Makes for a very happy but VERY full belly!

Doesn't really matter what you get. Can't go wrong here. The carne asada burritos and tacos are bomb. Grab a MexiCoke or Jarritos with your food.

Open until 4 am, their super suiza makes amazing post- a long night drinking food. Try the "para dos" for a massive meal to share.

Peel the foil horizontally only as you go to minimize spillage of this food gold, AND to maximize the warmth of your burrito.

The Carne Asada super burrito is a delicious mess. It is also quite an undertaking. I'm currently sitting here, having finished my burrito, and I...can't....move.

Super suiza grilled chicken quesodilla - a drunk favorite! Also, if you were going to risk a lengua burrito, this would be the place to do it.
