Art & Alcohol Exhibition until September 2016
Disappointing - just like all other Tate museums. Very little context and text!
You can have a broad look at British and international art history. Turner Collection is excellent but Pre-Raphaelites, too! Don't forget to see "Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose".
It's unfortunate that Tate Britain has a been overshadowed by its younger sibling Tate Modern, but if one is into British Art history, this is the place to be!
Great museum focused on British Art! Don't miss the Turner gallery!!!
Great as a lunchtime jaunt or a longer more relaxing visit. It's free unless you would like to make a donation. Always has the interesting to wild & whacky!
Not the Tate Modern! A rather overlooked museum which is a shame because well worth a visit. And a beautiful staircase!
Beautiful architecture and British Art to admire and see. The tours are really interesting too.
A truly delightful collection of British Art with some excellent exhibitions on!
The Sensorium exhibit is not worth the hassle to see it!
The cafe's fruit pots are great
Turners unfinished works are an insight into the creative process of a genius.
Absolutely love it!
The old great British artists, the YBA's, Tracey Emin's bed. It's a beautiful collection and a stunning museum combining old and new.
Favourite gallery in all of London. A room for each decade. Hundreds of Turners; Henry Moore; Tracey Emin; Damien Hirst. Bus, boat or tube for travel.
It was a great surprise that the Tate is free (£4 donation is requedted). only for single rooms in the basement ticket needed. a beautyful museum with diverse srtworks thrigh all centurys. :)
Love the permanent exhibitions and the Turner Collection
Grand old building, good art. Check out what exhibitions are on.
Awesome art and atmosphere
Check the events to see if there is anything special going on.
Amazing interiors and good for strolling around and viewing the galleries.
Don't miss the astonishing Turner exhibit. Incredibly amazing! And what a pretty building!!
Beautiful gallery, great collection, nice variety of exhibitions
My second favourite gallery. Go see Ophelia and the Fairy Feller
Worth a visit, even if you're not an arty person. Take the boat trip up to the Tate Modern afterwards for some mind boggling modern art.
A good day out, combine with a boat trip to the Tate modern.
Fabulous building and so much to see. Good restaurant downstairs for a lunch break. Never miss the Turner's whenever I'm here.
Great collection of Turner's paintings. Free admission
Rich collection of art but I'd recommend Tate Modern if you need to choose.
Wonderful 45 million pound reno and some classic artworks from the British national collection.
Everyone can find something entertaining. Awesome place
The outstanding arts gallery in London
If you go to london twice a year, register for the tate membership and benefit from bringing a plus one and unlimited access to all tate museum!
After the renovations were complete just over a year ago, the Walk through British Art is outstanding. The new members room is a delight.
If you're not into modern art don't do the Turner Prize exhibition, my traditionally inclined friend really disliked it!
Great service for members. Nice cafe with comfy seating. Great place to grab a cuppa before seeing the exhibition. Also love the beautiful art deco spiral stair case.
#FirstTimeHere beautiful in both its artworks and the architecture
the building it self is amazing!tate britain is really great! turner hall is amazing! especially queen elizabeth 1's portrait is a must see!spend half a day at least!
The Late Turner exhibit should not be missed. Worth going on weekdays as it gets quite slammed.
It is a nice place...a little bit crowded than Tate modern, which i prefer...but there are great expositions....u should try if you starving for British art.....
Good place to see British art. Turners are amazing. Also the Blake's drawings
A beautiful collection of Britain's art. Don't miss the famous Ophelia painting by Sir John Everett Mill, 1851-2.
First visit for a while. First scones, then the Turner #chilled
The best collection of JMW Turner. Theres even more in an exhibition at the moment
The Turner temporary Exhibition is awesome
Try to view the pieces in chronological order. In the end there is a room with computers showing nice video guide about the museum. It really helps to understand what you just have seen. Free wifi
