You all should try the Aladdin Briyani. It's the DABOMB.
The Indian food are nice, cheap and authentic but I hate the disposable plastic utensils. Advice to bring your own fork and spoon.

There's an amazing Rojak stall here on the "non Chinese" side of Tekka. Generous with the sauce too.
Nest place to buy lamb and all types of herbs
Great Thosai (Dosa), cheap and unlimited sauces!!!
One thing bad about the renovated Hawker Centre. The vents are not effective and walking through it leaves a heavy smell of cooking/oil on your clothes.
