What the?! Terminal 1 Wasteland now connects to Terminal 2 Nirvana! Decent coffee, warm food choices, and the yoga room await. Yesssss.
Eat before you arrive as the food options simply suck.
Walk 7 minutes to terminal 2 and escape this crappy one. Really nice, new terminal. Lots of good, healthy eats, modern seating, outlets and good lighting.
I like food here... But the price.. Lol
As other tips have mentioned, Terminal 1 has practically no food and isn't nearly as nice as the International Terminal and Terminal 2.
Getting better, but still not terminal 2.
If you plan to park at airport keep 10 extra minutes. Poor signage.

This terminal sucks. Food choices are horrible and has a gigantic dearth of outlets
The food in Terminal 1 sucks. The international terminal and terminal 2have much better options.
Try meditation before going to terminal 1. It will help for stress you are about to experience.
Check out the cases at the east end of the terminal: next to the connection to the International Terminal. Glass cases hold artifacts from airlines that no longer operate. There is also a museum too!
Best place to post up for the night and do work is just to the right of where security starts (when facing security). Tables, chairs, outlets...
Busy Airport SFO, safe travel everybody
Worst food ever. Just one place open and really overpriced, go to international terminal before coming here to eat!
If you are taking BART to the airport and flying out of Terminal 1, skip the Air Train. Walk to the other side of the international terminal and follow the signs to the domestic terminal walkway.
