    When transferring between the main terminal and satellite B and C gates, why not use the underground walkway beneath the train transfer, good to get a few more steps in! Access by the loft or stairs.

    They dont accept coins at the register so be wary that you need to pay in bills/notes, an extra hassle for travelers. This policy should really be reexamined since many usually have change left behind

    T5 is one of the best international terminals I've been through. The BA flagship lounges are great. Baggage arrives quickly. If returning from B/C gates, use the lifts = faster than the escalators.

    If you are leaving from Gate A10 make sure you give yourself plenty of time. These gates take you to buses and the planes can be a good 5-8 minute journey away.

    Tax free shopping here is amazing. High street to high end choices here. However the Business check in for BA is not all that great, they don't really manage to make you feel all that special.

    Buses and cabs accept only cash. Cash machines well hidden at arrivals. Get Hailo or Uber to avoid wasting your time if you are short of cash

    Give yourself extra time when coming from London. Terminal 5 is an additional 10 minutes west of main terminals 1-2-3.

    Massive! Not enough time to get round all the duty free shops even with 3 hours before departure! Although I would say grab a sandwich instead of eating from a restaurant as they're very expensive.

    Big terminal with loads of shops, but could do with some extra transport links. Terminals 1,2,3 are served as a hub by direct trains and buses, but T5 (and T4) stand alone. A taxi driver's paradise.

    Depending on where you're going in London, taking the tube (Piccadilly Line) can be as quick as the Heathrow Express and it's much cheaper. Make sure you get an Oyster card as you'll save a lot!

    If time is short, it's much quicker to get between the transit and the gate areas by elevator (compared with the escalator)! The smart money follows the crews - that's what they do!

    Don't bother with the Heathrow Express. It may be faster but is a rip off. Get the Piccadilly line to central London. Costs you less than £5 and it is 45 or so to central and 55ish to Kings Cross

    It's much cheaper to take the tube into London than any other option. It takes about 45 minutes to central London so if you have the time use the tube! Buying a travel card is also probably be cheaper

    If your flight arrives early in the morning, then the hassle to get through security is quick and prompt. The terminal isn't crowded at that time of day. There's a free 45mins WiFi connection.

    Enorme, pero muy moderno, cambias de terminal por tren subterráneo. Wifi gratuito en todo momento. Excelente tiendas y opciones para un lunch. Para tomar en cuenta: Aduanas y filtros más estrictos.

    Dafür, dass es das neueste Terminal in LHR ist, ist es am chaotischsten. Man kann die Zeit zum Boarding durchaus entspannter verbringen 🛫
