PULL FORWARD. The best unloading spots are NOT at the back.
Take the walkway from lower level to rental cars instead of waiting for shuttle.
Make sure you grab food before security, there is no real restaurant food near the gates! And only one bar.
This terminal is getting a much-needed facelift!
If you do go through security, you can get a bagel or other breakfast at Jerry's and then sit at the Samuel Adams bar.
There is a shortcut from Metro to terminal A if you go outside after you leave Metro
This is a lame terminal. The other terminals have five guys, potbelly and Dunkin doughnuts. This one is really limited. Eat before you get there.
Terminal A is the farthest place from anything ever. It's the Pluto of National Airport
Small terminal with very few food options, but don't count on the security line being short!
Small terminal but security lines can be long at peak times.
Prepare yourself for few and poor food options. Your best bet is Einstein Brothers before security.
World's worst internet access. Free option (which doesn't work), but even the paid Boingo doesn't work. Also, poor food choices (greasy spoons) and very limited seating. Stay away if possible!
The food services behind security on gates 1 through 9 is a little sparse get what you need before you go through security.
If you like walking really, really far, Terminal A is for you
I live this terminal, small, door to hate in 15 min. Limited food/drink options but enough if the basics to get the job done.
It's like the Siberia of DCA. Scrub airlines, scrub amenities.
3 degrees C - damn!
Jerry's Pizza is not bad, fast lines,
The low-cost carriers fly out of here and the terminal's condition and offerings reflect that.
Stay to the left at TSA. The line splits at the front and moves more efficiently than the right side.
The worst. Few and cruddy places to eat, terrible layout, cramped TSA area.
Perfect terminal to get just in time for your flight!! Probbably the worst one to be stuck at for a couple of hours, there's nothing besides complimentary wifi
Hellish terminal - avoid at all costs.
Small and Sun Country does not open until two hours before the flight for check in. Keep that in mind if you arrive early with the plan of getting through check in and TSA early.
This place is far away. But you can pretend its the 1930s, part of the terminal was the original airport
Eat before you get here
The best terminal at DCA
It's Political--Ending 2 Party System.
The best terminal in national
Don't fly Oceanic.
Spirit airline sucks!
Flying can be scary, but don't worry, once you land you are safe.
No using cellphones once the cabin door is closed!
If headed out in the early a.m., grab coffee & bagel @ Einsteins before going thru security.
Duty free shops are SMALL
Just remember DC folks this is for Jet Blue. Don't wander around DCA looking for the terminal.
Good news: Small terminal, limited walking/confusion. Bad news: Limited options/convenience
Ppl bitch about this terminal, but it was built when America was falling in love w/air travel. Best views of air craft and the Potomac. Most romantic terminal I've ever been in.
Eat before entering because if your flight is delayed you'll be trapped with overpriced and very limited food options.
The shuttle to this terminal makes me want to die. Can't they build a tram like every other airport?? WHY CAN'T I GET HERE FASTER?!
If u are SICK like this wheezing asshle then Stay HOME !!!!!
Each laptop needs it's own bin and taken out of it's case. Each iPad also needs it's own bin so grab extra bins and remember shoes and belts off
Wow! Front door drop-off, no line at Frontier, a short walk and TSA line and to my Gate 7 in less than 15 minutes! Excellent.
At least there's a bar.
Avoid at all costs. Tiny, cramped, boring, with little to no food options. There isn't even a Starbucks!
I love the look of this terminal. The 60's version if the future design is awesome.
While there is NO Starbucks and very few places to eat, it is always easy to navigate and security is almost always a breeze to get through.
if you arrive three hours early for a flight, you are foolish. It is small, there are plenty of seats and security moves quickly. Arriving an hour before departure gives you plenty of time.
Old, small terminal means less walking. Be happy.
