The "Kidport," just before gate C26, is a great little aviation-themed playground. If you're traveling with a future avgeek, leave time for a stop there.

FREE CHECKED BAGGAGE! If you the flight is going to be full (check seats available during online check-in), united is more than happy to check your bag for free at the gate!!!

When meeting someone arriving on United, whether the flight lands in terminal C or A depends on where the plane is going next, and not where it's coming from, so check before you come.

This is one of the longest security lines there is. Get there early (or late, and they'll let you cut to the front!).

C40-42 gates have limited food choices. Also if you connect through Terminal C prepare to go through security again. Worth it to get JetBlues Even More Speed for security.

If connecting working C-Gates, be warned - You may have to go through security again. And forfeit whatever food you just bought. So don't buy until you get to your connecting gate. Retarded layout.

Cibo has the biggest racket in the game! I'm sure they are owned by the airport b/c they rip you off for everything you buy. $3 for water, all b/c you can't bring it in yourself. Go to wolfegangs!

Pro-traveling tip: If you're gate is C40+, eat or get coffee BEFORE checking into security because there are virtually no food options for C40-42 and you can't get back out.

Security for gates 41-42 is usually not crowded. But because of the small area, there's also not much in the way of stuff to eat/drink down here.

The security lines look daunting, but they actually move pretty fast. And they're good at calling out leaving flights to get people to the front of the line.

9/11 flight, United 175, flew out of Gate C19 before crashing into the South Tower of the WTC. A US flag now flies over the jetway.

Avoid Au Bon Pain! The bill was wrong, the Vanilla Latte is without vanilla, there was no onion dill bagel for the salmon bagel, they had no cheddar cheese and also the eggs with yolk were out. 10 am.

Go the bathroom early when entering Terminal C - by the gates the bathrooms are too small to adequately serve a waiting plane load of people.

You have to exit security from Gates 40-42 and go through it again to connect to other jetBlue flights leaving from Gates 11-36. Giant fail. Leave plenty of time.
