The Standard Biergarten serves traditional German fare under the canopy of The High Line – open air in the summer, glass enclosed in the winter. When in Los Angeles, check out the sister Biergarten on The Rooftop of The Standard, Downtown LA.
Thrillist #BDOYL goers, make sure to get your beer and pretzels & check out the new Sony 4K TV while you're at it. TGIF!
Located outdoors underneath the High Line. Expect long lines, lots of eye candy, good cold beer and warm pretzels.
Prost! Eat some fine German sausages & pretzels & drink flavorful beers @ the Standard Biergarten! A bad ass mini Oktoberfest right in NYC. Brought to you by THE EXPENDABLES opening August 13!
Populated by who you'd expect from Meatpacking. If you love this place, please never come to Brooklyn. We don't want you there.
double fisting is ok here!
If you can make it there early on a Summer Friday you'll appreciate the ping pong tables while balancing a stein and a fistful of drink tickets. — Ben T., Creative
Grab a LEGENDARY German beer @ this famous hot spot. Make sure to try their pretzels! Brought to you by THE EXPENDABLES 2 opening August 17!
This place needs more seating, less ping pong. They'd benefit from ditching Tickets4Draughts too.
Try the beer!
If you're here on a Sunday night (or any night) and you ask yourself whether or not the night will go deep. Heads up - Its going to.
Biggest Pretzels EVER!!... Be sure to check out their new Brand Boutique on StyleCaster: http://www.stylecaster.com/thestandard
If you sit near the ping pong tables, beware errant flying balls.
This is become finance d-bag central.......only go there if you are into that kind of thing
The Standard Biergarten is basically a New Yorker's Disney World. Enjoy brunch at the Grill, pretzels and beer at the Biergarten, and dance the night away at Boom Boom & Le Bain.
Get a whiskey in the rocks, grab a table near the front, and wait for the magic to happen.
Fun scene, especially on a nice night. Try the sausages by the front bar!
An after-work treat in the heart of the Meatpacking District. Awesome beers, giant pretzels, delicious sausages. Always a good time!
Have a beer, or two, or three!
So much fun, but make sure you get there early (before 3 or 4pm) because the crowd gets real douche-y.
Play ping pong!
Nice relaxed atmosphere and choice of food and drinks. Beers are awesome and The Apple Pie strudel and Pretzels are very good! You have to buy tickets to get a beer. Each size costs different ticket.
You'll find a tasty variety of sausages (and, of course, tons of beer) at this outdoor biergarten.
Wait a second this place is horrible
Great place for drinks in the summer outdoors!
a Saturday afternoon must! $8 huge beer glasses, beautiful outdoor oasis
Come for the long lines, stay for the awful people and overpriced beer.
Great Pre-Game spot before Griffin Sundays! Open bar 7p-8p at the Griffin.... Dancing on the tabletops til 1am!
This place is a sausage fest.
What douche pays 8 bones for a pretzel, srsly?
Come on sundays after 4 for the best scene...avoid weekends and holidays to minimize b&t
Rude beer maids. Nice barbacks ... Whats wrong with this picture.....
Anyone who hates this place came here too late - get here for HH and it's a dream!
If you're wondering where all the douchebags went, worry not. They are here.
Overpriced and dripping with ego, but that's always good for outdoor people watching, right?
Protip: don't light the pong pong balls on fire, put it out with a beer, and then mouth off to the bouncer
Located on the Standard premises, this is a great spot for a beer or any other adult drink. Also on the menu: Sausages and pretzels.
Worst payment setup ever!
go there after you walk the Highline: or Before.
I religiously end a walk down The Highline with a beer here. Fun atmosphere. Get a photo in the booth downstairs and spring for a pretzel.
Such a fun atmosphere. Only serve beer, so make sure that's okay with everyone you're with. A great place for a first date, laid back and fun, kind of like a grown up, classier frat party.
Any drink with St. Germain is delicious here. Also, go to the bathroom and use the photo booth downstairs.
Come early. Leave late.
I had never felt under dressed in a beer garden until coming here. It's enormous and has a great indoor/outdoor vibe, but the crowd is distinctly meatpacking.
