The Standard Biergarten serves traditional German fare under the canopy of The High Line – open air in the summer, glass enclosed in the winter. When in Los Angeles, check out the sister Biergarten on The Rooftop of The Standard, Downtown LA.
delicious brunch options, try the sausages
Kind of a madhouse whenever you go.
Loving the sauerkraut and bratwurst. Pretzels are also a decent option
Beautiful place to chill with a group of friends. Drinks are bought through tickets.
Bitburger and pretzels
The Standard hosts the funnest game of bingo you will ever play! Complete with DJ, MC, dance-offs and sing-offs. You won't regret it
Fun for groups but wish there was music.
First waitress didn't know "Radler", but the second one did and it was incredibly refreshing on a hot day after a long walk through High Line Park.
Patio cervecero estilo alemán. Ideal para coronar el paseo por la High Line con una buena cerveza.
Always-busy outdoor drinking spot, even Sun/Mon/Tues nights. Ping pong tables inside.
Beer is good. Fun atmosphere
This place is awesome. The beers are great and the space is large.
Top notch biers & seats. Also the bathroom is not where you think it is.
Good atmosphere. You need to buy coupons to take to the bar for beer.
Lindisimo lugar!!! El sistema para pagar es raro, pero vale la pena! Buena cerveza y salchichas!
High energy fun environment. Great for groups!
Awesome casual spot for beers and German street food. Less busy during winter but still pretty cool as you have more space to sit down!
Great beer and nice setting.
Pretzels and beer!
They could really improve their selection of German beers. There are plenty of better Biergarten's in the city.
Go with a huge group and/or make friends with everyone around you.
Foosball and ping pong tables are a nice touch.
Beer is always amazing! Gets crowded, but can usually swoop up a seat for you & your crew within minutes. Fully enclosed with heat lamps (that work) all winter. Oh, and there's Ping pong, nuff said.
Best looking crowd in the city
Nice relaxed atmosphere and choice of food and drinks. Beers are awesome and The Apple Pie strudel and Pretzels are very good! You have to buy tickets to get a beer. Each size costs different ticket.
Your tickets never expire
So much beer. Get here early as it gets packed
Weekday afternoons during the summer are the best times to go. Afterwork and weekends are slammed.
Worth the extra tickets for the maß (litre). Need to be in right state of mind for the scene... Prost 🍻
Thought the ticket system is pretty weird, it's a ton of fun!
Hot apple cider and ping pong on a Saturday afternoon in autumn!
Cerveja e diversão.
year-round oktoberfest , reasonably priced steins, always a good time
They have a weird ticket system. Buy a few tickets for $4 each and redeem 2 for a beer or sausage.
Happy hour with friends... I was there watching the World Cup and it was amazing!
Great spot to day drink! Enjoy a few Bitburgers and take in all the good looking people. 🍻
It's a nice place in Chealsea but you cannot eat after 3 o clock!
Finally found a beer I like!
Chicken sausage and a beer = perfect combination and great atmosphere, more casual and fun compared to the rest of the glitzy options in meat packing
It's usually packed but a cool place to see. Move towards the back to find more space.
German beers, ping pong, & foos ball
Don't wait in line for tickets. You can buy them at the table.
The ticket system is efficient. But screws the staff on cash tips, I think. German beer selection: mediocre. But a cool place, a bit overcrowded & definitely a meat market. Ha!
A bit expensive for what they offer. But there was beer as big as my head, and it's hard to turn down a fresh-made giant pretzel.
Beer for tickets is essentially the same currency system strip clubs use. It's meatpacking, if you're here you know what you came for.
