Awesome burgers, open late, and craft beer on tap.

Rather affordable quick meal option on H Street.

  • Emily O. S.

I'm not a burger person, but this was the best burger I've had in years. I had the Ciao Bella, but I am sure any of them would be excellent.

    Peep these crispy tobacco onions.

    Sandra Rubinchik · November 13, 2014

Inexpensive burgers and a decent selection of beers. Top it off with friendly service and I am a fan. Bonus: you can sub a veggie patty on any of the burgers.

This is a pseudo-Green Bay Packer bar. Be warned.

    donna t · September 17, 2014
  • Rita L.

Everything is reasonably priced. Their burgers are really popular, so I can't wait to go back and try one. Brunch is a must try specifically for the chicken and waffles.

    Rita Lassiter · August 31, 2014
  • Dave S.

The Great Chicago Fire is one of the best burgers in DC. It's got a lot of kick -- so be careful with the Habenero sauce. Pair it with Old Bay or Sweet Potato fries.

    Dave Stroup · August 10, 2014
  • Mike I.

All of the burgers are phenomenal. The ever changing stock price board on the beer is a clever addition.

    Mike Isibel · July 6, 2014
  • Mathew H.

Fried pickles, Ranger IPA and The Great Chicago Fire burger were awesome. Wish I had room for a second burger.

    Mathew Hart · April 27, 2014

The Great Chicago Fire Burger is dusted in chipotle and topped with fire-roasted chili and mango salsa, habañero jack cheese, and chipotle aioli. Make sure to drink a beer to cool down. Read more

Top notch beef and ingredients make the burgers here really stand above other bars that serve burgers. The Au Poivre burger with bleu cheese was delicious.

Amazing burger. Fun take on beer buying. Definitely a recommend.

    Christopher Westcott · April 13, 2013
  • Ammar J.

Great food. The presentation of the beer "stock-ticker" prices was disappointing, though. It's just a bunch of really small flat screens and didn't add to the ambiance at all.

    Ammar James · April 6, 2013

    Pretty slow service.

Karaoke night upstairs on Thursdays. Play badly enough (last place) and you get a free tequila shot.

Best neighborhood bar on the hill. Great staff, prices, owners, food... Couldn't ask for more.

Was only slightly offended by the slow, inattentive service until I got the check and was charged an automatic 20% gratuity. Completely rude. Loved the burger, but will NOT be going back.

    wonderwillow · September 16, 2012

Try the bottomless mimosas on the weekend and the Chicago fire burger! Can't go wrong!

    Fabian Ortega · June 11, 2012

The Great Chicago Fire is great! If you like a spicy burger, look no further! The side of mango-habañero salsa gives it an even bigger kick! Don't forget salt & pepper fries on the side!

One of the most creative bar concepts I've seen in a long while. The owners are great, meet them if you can!

    Trace D. · February 20, 2012
  • Pieter V.

The owners are rad and the beers are good, if a bit pricey. Ambience is awesome. Will agree its more cap hill crowd than h street. Best place on h to watch a game (sry pug)

Love it here. Never had a problem with bartenders or staff. Everyone's always upbeat and bartenders are awesome. Great Chicago Fire Burger is awesome.

    lauren H · February 18, 2012
  • Emily H.

No gluten free options and none of the staff are educated about allergies. Also, the upstairs bartender is a total douchebag. Make sure you bring cash because they're hella rude if you flash plastic.

    Emily Holden · February 4, 2012

Just walked out without ordering -- they screwed up hosting, they screwed up the table, and a server was no where to be found.

Really bad service tonight. Is this some joke?!?
