So hard to decide what to have ordered but trusted my instinct to get the bangers and mash and it didn't disappoint. Nice place to go while visiting Houston.

    Francesco V · August 15, 2015
  • Marc S.

Fish and chips is of course expected in a pub. Not as good as it used to be. The fish needs to be crispier.

    Marc S · July 9, 2015

    Perfect after work wind-down.

    Amy Taylor · February 21, 2015

Nothing. Not a English pub at all. My husband said it was the rudest service he had ever encountered. Food is bad and they never clean their beer lines ever!

    Debra Oliver · November 1, 2014

The soups here are great, but the rest of the food is disappointing.

Good place for a burger, English food, and a nice Smithwick's or Guinness.

Well-worn wooden floors, low ceilings, British memorabilia, a large bar and good ole English pub food all go to make this one of Houston's favorite pubs. Read more

Careful of the Scotch Egg dish. The sausage was still raw when the server brought it out.

Overpriced. Bland food. Big chess pieces out front.

    Glenn Burns · March 11, 2014

Nice atmosphere but OMG! the service leaves something to be desired. Slow is one thing. Pouring a drink then getting distracted and leaving it sit... in sight but out of reach of customer... torture!

Chicien vegetable soup is really good and Boddington on tap.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere. I've particularly enjoyed the cheddar soup, and the cheese platter. The Bleu burger is also excellent. The service here has always been cordial and professional.

Worst food I've had in months! The service was rude and had a lot of attitude. I had high hopes for this restaurant because the decoration is beautiful but I ended up very disappointed and angry.

    Vania F. · May 27, 2013

The worst "Prime Rib" ever. My wife's beef Wellington was more tender than the supposed "Prime Rib".

Beef Wellington tastes good but is NOTHING like a real one! It was just a stew with pastry top. Real beef wellington is completely wrapped in pastry - see pic
