Comfortable and interactive, like a more indie version of Barnes and Noble. http://badfantasyrx.blogspot.com/2016/08/the-assassin-in-india-but-home-invasion.html

I love this bookstore but I wish they would alphabetize the books by author consistently. Took forever to find A Game of Thrones.

The kids section is great but there's only one train table now so avoid after school hours and weekends if your tot wants to play.

Davis-Kidd has the best children's area out of all the bookstores in Memphis. A definite way to stimulate your child when it's too hot or cold to go outside.

The tomato-blue cheese soup at Brontë Bistro is excellent. I also really like the grilled ham-and-Brie sandwich.

Check out the huge selection of Memphis-themed books near the front of the store. There's a decent selection of books on local history, music, cooking and more.

Enjoy story time with the kids Saturdays at 11 and follow it up with fruit tea and an avocado BLT at the bistro.
