Proud to serve as Memphis' premier independent bookstore!
Great place for kids to sell their used books. Very spacious and they have great speakers and novelty finds
Great for gifts. You can buy Orpheum tickets here, too.
You can get tickets to Orpheum events here!

I can come into Booksellers of Laurelwood and interact with individuals on Sunday. The staff is friendly especially this part-time employee, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Awesome bookstore and great menu at the bistro!!!
My wife loves this place
I love this bookstore but I wish they would alphabetize the books by author consistently. Took forever to find A Game of Thrones.

Great kids area with a train table, books, toys, games and more. Playmobile, Melissa & Doug and other quality toys. Story time T, Th & Fr @ 11am
Check out the employee recommendations near the front- they update them frequently.
Check out the local authors section, then spend hours browsing the magazines...such a large variety.
The kids section is great but there's only one train table now so avoid after school hours and weekends if your tot wants to play.
Check out the renovated young adult section.
I love bookstores, but I find this one hard to navigate and the employees rude.
There are lots of toys back in the kids area
Support local bookstores!
Check out the bargain books...there's usually opportunities for great finds at great prices!
Davis-Kidd has the best children's area out of all the bookstores in Memphis. A definite way to stimulate your child when it's too hot or cold to go outside.
Use your Gives Back card to get discounts at the bookstore and the Bronte Bistro and support local nonprofits at the same time.
The tomato-blue cheese soup at Brontë Bistro is excellent. I also really like the grilled ham-and-Brie sandwich.
Check out the huge selection of Memphis-themed books near the front of the store. There's a decent selection of books on local history, music, cooking and more.
Enjoy story time with the kids Saturdays at 11 and follow it up with fruit tea and an avocado BLT at the bistro.
