2 of us always think we can finish 3 smalls + cornbread + beer. don't be stuffed fools like us. Get 2 orders of the duck wings & a salad to split, THEN maybe get the cornbread (with bacon & jalapeno)

I went in with the 3.5yr old I babysit, and everyone was so kid-friendly (esp. our waitress Sandy). Big tables, big portions, and tasty drinks and food. Need to go back to try more! Right by the L.

Fried duck wings and Chuck Norris. This place has it all! The cauliflower salad is a little pricey but so friggin delicious. The chicken fried steak is a beast for $16 though! Their trout is tight.

Let's talk about the Sunday night special. $20/person gets you two HUGE pieces of fried chicken + a side dish for the table-Mac'n'cheese, black beans, collared greens, mashed potatoes. Resos required

"All animals are killed humanely with five point exploding heart punch" says the menu. Start walking. And order the cornbread with bacon and jalapenos to start.

The mac and cheese here is delivered HOT so be weary. Once it cools, enjoy the meaty and smokey taste of bacon and the sharp and creamy generous cheese application. Read more

You MUST get the cornbread with jalapeños and bacon. They always warn you that it may take 20 minutes since each skillet is made to order. Absolutely worth whatever wait necessary.

For brunch: chicken and waffles are the star. For dinner: jalapeño cornbread, Mac and cheese, kale salad. The huge steak board is amazing to share with multiple people.

MUST have the grilled hake and little neck clams with smiked cod cheeks, it is sooo good! The spiced cider is really good too winter time.

The meatloaf sandwich is... terrifying. That said it will also do nicely for lunch tomorrow so get over how petrified you are and just order it. Cornbread also a must obviously.

Get your fix of Southern comfort food with big flavors and even bigger portions. You must try the Mac and Cheese Bacon with a side of corn bread or the Hot Meatloaf Sandwich on Pullman Bread.

Country fried steak was delicious. The hot slaw is actually just braised cabbage, but that's fine because I really like braised cabbage.

Chicken fried steak is solid -- light crispy crust on a well tenderized piece of beef. Mashed potatoes and hot slaw in the side.

Bacon jalapeño cornbread and bacon mac n' cheese are MUSTS. The trotters are bangin, the kale salad is really good, the chicken (fried or half roasted) is incredible. Really can't go wrong.

This place is good, for sure, but not sure how it gets such accolades for "southern cuisine". I grew up in the rural Deep South, ate lots of wonderful things, none of which are paralleled on this menu

Bacon paradise. The Mac n Cheese with bacon is unreal, same goes for the baked-to-order cornbread with jalapeño and bacon. They even put bacon in the country fried steak.
